Default Help with my Warrior/Monk. And a skill question.

Hi. I just got out of the starting island. I did a few quests on the mainland and I captured quivering blade (which I don't think is that great, but I'll use it I guess).

I bought some skills I thought might be good. But there is just a ton of them out there now.

I just want to know if my skills are correct for where I am in the game, and what I could do to improve.

1. Sever Atery
2. Gash
3. Final Thrust
4. Quivering Blade (Elite)
5. Healing Breeze
6. Signet of Capture
7. Sprint
8. Rebirth

I just put all of my points into swords and strength.

Also, for my skill question. Do I have to keep buying signet of capture every time I use it?

Healing Breeze is worthless. Sprint is difficult to justify in a typical PvE environment, but it's not a terrible choice. There's no need to keep a Signet of Capture on your bar at all times - bring it only when there's a skill in the next area that you want to capture. Silverwing Slash is a good option, as is "Watch Yourself!".

Each Signet of Capture is good for one skill capture only. You can buy as many of them as you have money and skillpoints for.

So conclusion if u dont wanna be another "frenzy/mending wamm00"(as i can see this title is sooo popular nowadays) dont invest into tactics. Anyways strenght FTW. I've seen some ppl apreciating some warriors because of theyr armors even if the skils they used were totally wrong also i have seen good warriors using "not so flashy blades/axes/hammers" or not so expensive armors, but with collector stuff or drok's crap and using the correct skills. And btw swords are not dead but axes are more damage and are more popular, tho u can never inflict with an axe the conditions u inflict with a sword. This is kinda all be carefull what u choose dude.

Hrm. I don't see a lot of helpful advice here. Most makes no sense to me. I don't even know what Whammo is.

Thanks Rera for your suggestions. I'll get rid of healing breeze and get those 2 other skills you mentioned.

Any other suggestions people can make? Stuff I can understand? The other threads below Rera's make absolutely no sense to me.

I would switch out Rebirth for regular Ressurct or Ressurection Chant. Rebirth takes all your energy and while most attacks use adrenline some might take energy. It is helpful in certian missions and other places,(Fissure of Woe, Underworld). But for regular PvE i would switch it out for Ressurect or Ressurection Chant.

Rebirth isn't a bad choice - but never use it mid-battle. For most groups and areas, the good 'ol Resurrection Signet is actually the best res you have access to. It's (relatively) fast, costs no energy, and brings them back at full health and 25% energy. The recharge issue generally isn't a serious limitation in Factions PvE, since most missions and areas are crawling with bosses to provide you that all-important morale boost.

As a warrior, enhance your damage as much as you can. For most of the game you'll find that you won't need any self-heals or defensive skills, provided you bring competent monks (henchmen monks are usually competent enough, actual players tend not to be). Don't bring Frenzy for PvE though, particularly if you're not experienced in its usage.

Your attack skills look decent, although I prefer Silverwing slash/galrath slash to final thrust. Using quivering and silverwing, you might want to use an adrenal charging skill such as For Great Justice! or Berserker Stance. Also add watch yourself! and healing signet while taking out healing breeze and sprint. If you really want self healing, live vicariously and vigorous spirit, while not great skills by any means, would function better than healing breeze given a warrior's low energy pool.

I agree with the other suggestions. (While I'm not a big fan of Beserker's Stance (cancels when you use a skill), I'm a very big proponent of For Great Justice!)

You may want to consider a few points into Tactics if only for Watch Yourself! Even with a few points, it gives you and your allies +20 Armor for a few seconds. With a cost of 4 adrenaline, it's easy to cast it just after it ends. But if you don't mind not being able to move all that much, I strongly suggest Dolyak Signet. It's a strength based armor buff that prevents you from being knocked down. If your strength attribute is high, you can re-cast it just after it ends. Again, the downside is that you move as fast as a slug when it's activated; but in PVE you won't have to worry a lot about enemies running away. I'd switch out Signet of Capture for Dolyak Signet (unless you need to capture something, then switch Sprint out for it).

Also, while Rebirth is a very good ressurection skill, it incapacitates your skills an drains all your energy after use. Drop a few points into Protection Prayers for some relief, in case you need to go to battle and need your skills. Generally, I don't think you should be counted on for ressurecting purposes (usually if the whole party is wiped out, you're not that likely to be the last one remaining). Ressurection Signet is just fine as a ressurection skill.

The biggest thing to do is to keep playing and trying new things. Who knows, you may find something a useful skill that is based on smiting prayers...

Heal sig is useless without Tatics.Beter off with Breeze.
skills 1-4 are great choices.
Try sun and moon slash-hits twice for 2 strikes of add.
Standing Slash when you are using a stance.
And as soon as you get to Ssaki, cap Dragon Slash.Best sword elite IMO.
