Dslash builds don't really need whirlwind for adrenaline. A lot of builds run FGJ, which turns Dslash into a one-button full charge for 20s. By the time it wears out, most battles are all but over.

Any of the above. Maybe Conjure X, Enduring Harmony, Healing Signet, Plague Touch, any of the usual tried-and-true Warrior utility skills. Endure Pain is pretty horrible though.

Whirlwind Attack is overkill on adrenaline, and slows down your constant once-every-0.8778 second Dragon Slash spam. I wouldn't go so far as to call it a bad skill, but its got no place in a DS build.

I would alternate depending on the area. Save Yorselves is easily the best, since it relieves the pressure from the rest of the party, making the monk's job of healing easier(he just has to heal you, and warrior has high armor, already).
It is overkill in lower level areas.

Lion's Comfort is an OK general use heal if you want to take one, but I don't like it on a DSlash bar.

Mending touch is good in high condition areas to relieve some pressure from the monk, especially with hero monks. I've never needed it, however.

edit: Stormlord beat me to it.

Brawling Headbutt + Steelfang Slash + Dragon Slash is infinite KD, and a bit more flexible.

Yes it is, but I think Enduring Harmony + FGJ is better, its easier to use and well I just dont like Steelfang Slash, In a Dragon slash build its not like you need +4 adren from Steelfang, I'd switch it for FGJ if it isnt already in the build and if it is go for either galraths slash/ silverwings slash or sun and moon slash.

Of course Brawling Headbutt + Dslash + Dslash does more damage, but FGJ (why wouldn't you have it in a Dslash build?) isn't up all the time. The main reason you have Steelfang is so that you can use Brawling anytime, plus a bit of +damage. That's worth more than straight up +damage or double hits.

All I know is Dragon Slash is the highest damaging elite skill for warrior so I went swords and DS and never looked back.

on my bar I don't use any other professions' skills. While it's true that DS is the best build, I also took out i think Rush or Sprint and threw in Whirlwind Attack which is great when paired with Dragon Slash. I also threw in Endure Pain in my build. So my real question I guess is . . .

1. Are any of you pure warriors? If so, why? If not, why not? (meaning you're W/* and don't use any secondary profession skills)

2. What's a fun warrior build to try out for sh1ts and giggles?
yeah so far best dmg out put i found was this

Vamp sword - IS A MUST trust me once you get use to the switching and degen its a bealutiful thing espesiacly with whirlewind.

Enrageing Charge or "To The Limit!"
Signet of Strength
For Great Justice
Flail or Frenzy
Power attack
Sun Moon Slash
Dragon Slash (E)
Healing Signet

you averige ~50-60 dmg per second or so with stance up

But another fun build i like is playing aoe like

Again Vamp sword - IS A MUST trust me once you get use to the switching and degen its a bealutiful thing espesiacly with whirlewind.

Flail
Hundered Blades (E)
Whirlewind attack
Sun Moon Slash
Symbolic Strike
Strength Signet
Dolyak Signet
Healing Signet

I found that to be veryy fun, lots of multiy attacks. Replace Dolyaks with FGJ or "To The Limit!" and replace Symbolic with Standing Slash to speed it up.

I know theres no SYS on either of those but that because im too lazy to go farm for it X(.
I generaly stay pure warrior because not alot of skills out there that you can run that would be better then what a warrior already has.. after 4~5 chapters the warrior has plenty of skills for multiple uses last time i ran somthing not warrior was W/E i used frigid armor to beat the Great Destroyer and that was a long time ago.. i just dont see a point if you have a monk on your back just bring +armor skills or block skills with the rest attack and 1 self heal.
And whirlewind IS a good skill... Vamp+str sig+splinter+dmg aoe.... its pretty darn good for 6 adren.

This is true... But I usually use enduring + FGJ which yeilds a 30s FGJ duration... 15 seconds left to recharge which isnt overly long. I find that even when FGJ is down that Steelfang isnt paramount as 'most' mobs are already dead by the time FGJ is down... Furthermore in PvE were there are some laboriously long walks I dont think that 15 seconds while covering ground is that bad.

Then again it depends wether you use enduring or not and even so it really is about personal preferance.

Just take Frenzy as IAS, it really is fun to use it correctly in PvE.

... Taking double damage when its un necesary...? Okay... Flail is a better IAS pve-wise... Frenzy is only good in pvp where you bring along a cancel... Getting hit by several enemies and frenzy on is suicidal.

That's no excuse for bringing crap skills like Dolyak or Stength.

Enduring Harmony. Conjure X. Splinter Weapon.

The main reason for Enduring + FGJ is powering out SY, being able to skip Steelfang is a bonus.

When I'm playing the more difficult areas or HM where mobs don't just keel over, I'd rather have Steelfang. In NM, I'm too lazy to change my build from my HM build. So Steelfang stays on my bar in any case.

"Finish Him!" or else let someone else handle DW. Paragon heroes are really good at using Merciless Spear.
