Default New to warrior ^^

Hey this is my first post so be kind

I just started a brand new warrior for PvP. if i deicide i like him ill make a Pve one. but heres where you lovly people at Guru come in, im not sure what an effective PvP build is.

I would like to be a sword warrior just out of preference so please dont suggest anything axe or hammer, im sure what you suggest would be good but i just want to use a sword

as for what kind of PvP i mainly do low end like AB, RA and TA so something suitable please.

as for the build id really like something that can use the skill "you're all alone!" im not sure if its good or not but ive taken quite a fancy to it(if its not so great could you explain why? and if it is can you explain usage?)

i also like the look of deadly riposte and tigers stance

anyway any build ideas would be great if you can match my criterior or explain better then that rocks too.

thank you all very much for your time

[skill]crippling slash[/skill][skill]gash[/skill][skill]sun and moon slash[/skill][skill]bull's strike[/skill][skill]frenzy[/skill][skill]rush[/skill][skill]healing signet[/skill][skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]

That's the build I use in RA/TA when I feel like using sword.
You could replace healing signet with a conjure if you want to do some extra damage.

As for "You're all alone!", I can't say much about it really, never used it myself so I'll leave that to the others

For PvE. similar although

[skill]Sever Artery[/skill][skill]Gash[/skill][skill]Dragon Slash[/skill][skill]Healing Signet[/skill][skill]"Watch Yourself!"[/skill][skill]Sprint[/skill] the rest are optional .This would work to [skill]Standing Slash[/skill][skill]Silverwing Slash[/skill][skill]Dragon Slash[/skill]

I don't use you are alone so someone else can attack that one.

If you're going to run DSlash (recommended in PvE), then throw in [wiki]"For Great Justice!"[/wiki] and [wiki]Save Yourselves![/wiki]. Also needs an IAS, [wiki]Flail[/wiki] is recommended for PvE

Don't take Deadly Riposte in PvP, people know that if they're gonna get hit hard by attacking the warrior, they won't attack the warrior, effectively wasting one of your skill slots. Tiger Stance is meh, you'll want an IAS that can be kept up 100% of the time, and since blocking is fairly common (afaik), the duration will be further reduced. The aforementioned Frenzy is the best option, but always take Rush or something to cancel it if you're going to be targeted.

If you want more PvE stuff, read the sticky.

I don't have Save Yourself as i don't have enough Kurzick Faction built up yet and don't see nothing wrong with WY.My current build is a lot like that except I don't use WY I use Flail and EragingCharge and it doesn't take me long to kill any of the mobs.My General carries the armour buffs which is better for Paragon to do.

"You're all alone" is an ok skill, but since the debuff nothing spectacular. It can be used efficiently in AB however. Make sure to bring a crippling sword then, to extend the crippling duration.

tiger stance is ok, but get blocked once and it's bye bye IAS. Not realy reliable there. frenzy is still your most solid bet, though it takes some time to get used to.

deadly riposte is a no-go imo. taking something that's versus melee only is pretty ... narrow minded. And since you only have 8 skillslots, it'd be a waste of a skillslot.

a bar i'd propose is the YAA bar used months ago in GvG :

"You're all alone"
sever artery
gash
final thrust
frenzy or tiger stance
enraging charge or rush or dash (as W/A)
mending touch (as W/Mo) or signet of malice (as W/A)
healing signet

sword mastery : 12+1+1
tactics : 9+1 / 10+1
strength : 9+1 / 8+1

use 9+1 strength when using enraging charge (as 10 is the breakpoint for the adrenalin gain), otherwise 8+1 will do, and get 10+1 tactics then.

use is easy : run up to a target, switch to your crippling sword, use YAA as snare, catch up on him and bash away with a zealous/elemental/vamp sword.

^^ i agree with RotteN in AB the YAA build works fairly nice...in RA/TA i would go with the Dslash build.

In PVE YAA is worthless for the most part...deadly riposte and riposte are mainly used for warrior solo builds...not much functionality in the long run in pve... in PVP it will get you labeled as a griefer.

Basic Warrior Template:

Two to three attack skills(one of which causes a Deep Wound), an IAS, a speed boost, at least one knockdown and/or snare and a Ressurrection Signet.
