Seconded Low Blow. Suggest Enraging Charge.

Why you'd pick LC over Enduring Harmony is beyond me

I thought the armor ignoring damage would have worked. Other alternatives suggested seemed to do lower amounts of damage that was based on the target's armor. I was just looking at options

imo W/P with Stunning strike is best, in pve and pvp. just because i think its much more useful: barbed->stunning->barbed = disabling a healer or an overpowered ele (boss) will be alot more useful then any other elite. just add flail/SY/spear of fury/other skills like enraging, fgj, lions or ebon ward and you got a powerfull, usefull, cool & fun2play spearwar. but thats my opinion...

I know its different then the others, but how about something like this.

[ebon battle standard of honor][flail][power attack][protector's strike][warrior's endurance]["Save yourselves!"][lion's comfort]["for great justice!"]

Strength attacks, especially at 14 STR seem to hit harder and have a much shorter recharge, enabling to be spammed under Warrior's Endurance.

Yes, Strength attack skills are unlinked to weapons. Spears are considered melee though they are ranged

Yes, I know.

But why are you using a spear when you need to go to Melee range to use your attack skills?

If you want to use Melee skills, take an Axe.

Yeah I see that. It was too good to be true. It will not allow me to use them. High damage, 3 second recharge, would have been too nice on a spear user

Aside from [spear swipe] which specifies this skill has a melee range, spears are not melee weapons.

This is a bar that is trying to do two things at once and ends up doing neither one very well.

The only attack you're going to be spamming is [power attack], and I don't think it's so incredibly amazing that you have to sacrifice your elite for it. After all, the only reason why you're bringing [warrior's endurance] is so that you can spam [power attack]. And why do you even need ["for great justice!"] if you're not going to be spamming adrenaline attacks? Is it for ["save yourselves!" (luxon)]? If that's the case, scrap [warrior's endurance] and [power attack], and just replace it with the good old-fashioned [dragon slash]/["save yourselves!" (luxon)] combination. It's much more efficient (and will give you an extra slot for something killer like [brawling headbutt]).

What the hell are you people even talking about

Spears are ranged weapons. Warrior's endurance, power attack, ect do not even -work- with them

Yes, I assumed he didn't intend that as a spearwar bar and tried to show him how he could improve it with better melee attacks.

If it's supposed to be a spearwar bar, it's utterly impossible and can't even be saved.

Khomet Si Netjer, Kain Fz, and all the rest of you: thanks for this thread and the build info. My warrior dates back to when Prophecies was first released, but I had never tried a spear build. Now all I needed was a spear.

Discovering that I had given away all my extra spears, I harvested 5 Cobalt Talons and traded them to Hamri in Vabbi, Yatendi Canyons, for a Suntouched Spear, Energy +5; more energy always useful for a Warrior. Good looking spear too.

Then I went after that cantankerous demon Shrieker of Dread in Domain of Fear for Stunning Strike. Using Khomet's build, I set out to test it. I am very impressed. This build works very smoothly, does good damage, gives you a stun, and SY for some extra party protection. It is a winner! I see that the spear is an effective ranged weapon to complement the usual melee weapons: sword, axe, and hammer.

And yes, I also have a Paragon; but Paragon and Warrior are like apples and oranges. I don't think comparisons between the two make much sense.
