Default Warrior + ? Duo

Hi there!

I was wondering which class would be the most suitable for a duo with a Warrior; I know Necro it's a good partner for warriors, but it is my main and I'm not interested on use it again.

P.D: Mainly for PvE purposes.

Thanks!

Ritualist (Spliter weapon/Ancestor's rage/blablabla) or Monk (SoH/Smite Hex-Condition/etc) imo.

This hero never leaves my party when I play warrior:

Rt/Mo
Channeling 12+1+1
Smiting Prayers 12
Spawning Powers 3

Strenght Of Honor (disable and micro it onto you)
Empathic Removal [E]
Judge's Intervention
Bloodsong
Spirit Siphon
Splinter Weapon
Ancestor's Rage
Flesh Of My Flesh

Found it somewhere on the pvx, so no credits to me

Also do you mean duoing as in just two players in a party? Cause I think you'll have a hard time doing that with a war + anything.

With the warrior acting as an appropriate tank, any one can follow you. A monk with strength of honor and other prots, spirit spammer rit, SH ele, SS rit, ranger

So if I understand this correctly, you have a friend/family member/someone you're going to be playing with who's a Warrior, and you'll be playing something else to go with him?

In that case, you can pick pretty much anything you want. Some professions may add more than others but most should synergize pretty well. Midline caster professions will be the best choice (Rit, Monk, Necro, Ele, Mesmer). The physical professions probably won't add much in terms of synergy, but you'll still be able to play together perfectly well. In short, pick whatever you want to play because that's all that really matters.

I'd go monk. There's nothing more exciting than healing a warrior who leeroys and aggroes EVERYTHING. <3

Necro, Rit or Monk.

Splinter Weapon; Strength of Honor, Smite Hex/ Smite Condition (if you go Smiter's Boon). Draw conditions is useful for blind removal, but not as good as Foul feast on a necro. In areas other than Shards of Orr, simply having -20% blind rune and shield is fine; use Asuran Scan otherwise.

Eles are absolutely garbage in teams with warriors unless your warrior is grabbing aggro...mesmers aren't too useful with warriors other than for mitigating damage via Panic and interrupting spells

Anything but another melee, honestly. Melandru/Dwayna Dervish is good on paper but aggro goes everywhere and it makes it a pain to prot/heal.

Rangers can capitalize on the warrior aggro via Barrage (and not having to pack stances) but other than that there's absolutely no synergy. Paragons... Save Yourselves! is a warrior skill.

Why all the SoH love? I mean it's a nice skill but no matter where I come my soh gets stripped the moment my war enters the battle or later. Cover enchantments to keep another one active does seem a bit counter productive to me.

When your cover enchants are Order of Pain + Dark Fury it doesn't really matter about strips. (Unless your facing multiple copies of Chillblains or something.)

No synergy between Warriors and Rangers?
I've been dragging a friend around PvE on his warrior, and keeping him happy running this build.
Dragon Slash/Earth Shaker being charged in 1/2 attacks is pretty strong (IH + Dark Fury), and also hillarious when you qknock a group with Earth Shaker repeatedly.

All of the other options mentioned are good choices too, so honestly just run something you'll enjoy, it's a ton of fun playing with people you know. It's certainly breathed some new life into single-player mode for me.

When I play my warrior I sometimes bring a Monk hero who is setup as either a healer/bonder or a smiter/bonder using things like Strength of Honor, Balthazar's Spirit and Retribution, for grins.
