Arrow IMO, these are my most satisfying builds yet. Critique and share.

been reading forums and gw2 is in the works so i want to chat a bit about gw1 before it's completely done with and i thought i'd start here. I'm a casual player and enjoy my war from time to time cause it feels so good to take and dish out dmg in pugs especially for zb/zm/hardmode and realize how synergized, contributed, or just plain o satisfying when using a created build that works out for what it was intended to do - All this while completing a common goal w/ my party members.

So i've been using these builds for a while and would like to share it w/ the community just to see what yall think. I like to use it for pve zaishen dailies.

Now you're wondering "why the rant?"
Answer is; i like to share what my current state of mind is while tiyping this.

Now some of you might also be wondering... "so what do you want me to do about it?"
Answers is; just let me kno what you think of the builds, if you like it or not, improving on it and maybe even use it if it's good.

Soldier Axe: OQATEXpWV6UMqYvCq4uknQUztAA

here's some visuals to stimulate your senses under all the text

str 11+2
axe 10+2
tac 10+1

Soldier Ham: OQATE3pWV6UMxpsQ85uknQUjrAA

another one

str 11+2
ham 10+2
tac 10+1

These builds has the req met for sentinel runes to take effect and dishes good dmg while having 75% block up at all times in most cases
and IAS while able to mix in dmging and effects-type skills (kd, rupts, wound, etc.) I alternate with WY! and Fear Me! depending on the quest when using hammer since i lose the armor from a 1hand+shield combo.

I like these 2 builds cause they seem to make my war tanky and dmging, giving healers an easier time and in the event that i'm stranded from heals, i can still tank for some time. Build is still prone to the typical melee-hate skills but i think its defense is good enough to give human healers and heroes an easier time keeping me alive.

Why no soldier sword? In short; based on the current available war skills, i think sword is not nearly as useful as the other 2 in terms of synergizing with soldier stance, utility, and flexibility. Other than a quick scan, I didn't look too much into it.

Note: i'm just pulling info from my head as i'm posting this, nothing more than my past recollection was used while typing this.
I also thought my build was pretty dam good until i fought ZB: Joffs the Mitigator a couple days ago and died a few times... brought me back to reality "Woot."

Looks fine. I would suggest taking Save Yourselves because its my favorite warrior skill. I think that if you were dying in the zaishen bounty, its probably because of your hero builds, not your build.

But, a lot of the damage is single target. For the hammer I would suggest whirlwind attack and yeti smash, just to make it more effective versus more foes.

I like it, not something I ever saw so I give you thumbs up for creativity. I turn to different professions but your style of play is unique and I like your foreprocess

I like this, I will make a variation of the build for more aoe oriented fighting.

Also i noticed, and it's probably because in my past attempts to transform my warrior into an aoe killer instead of a target killer, i found myself habitually spending wasted time looking for that "sweet spot" running into enemy groups to hit more than one foe and because of it i have came to despise adjacent skills for melee classes to a certain degree. I made a Dervish about a month ago and they seem to have a way easier time ("Wayyy easier" and and satisfying too) of completing the task as a melee-aoe dmger. This has steered my war into focusing more on killing a target asap rather than multiple. (readers give me your POV on this)

Which brings me back to Sword, i'd much rather use 100blades because it's one of the more satisfying and practical elite for sword and it begs to be enhanced and used to hit multiple people. No point in making it work with Soldier Stance when axe and hammer already does a better job of it.

I replied to this second; for the reason that SY! lovers don't hate me as i'm about to criticize this overly reliant skill. This skill has pretty much become conventional and in an environment with a limited skill bar and many fun skills to try, i naturally want to distance myself from ever using this on one of my 8 slots.

People throw this skill out as a suggestion as much as they throw pepper on their food, it has become so conventional and reliant that I'm going to point out that this skill ISN'T a necessity. PVE skills wasn't even existent for a while and players were beating the game just fine. You can comfortably beat most Hardmode areas without +100armor to 7 of your party members so I want to point out that you don't have to use this skill EVERYTIME, u'll still come out winning... trust me... I also don't like using it because i don't get the satisfaction, knowing that i don't benefit from it lol.

I want to point out that i kno this skill is often suggested to novice players because SY! buys time and time is needed to learn the depth of the game. I also want to add that I leave the responsibliity of this skill to paragons because how else are they going to get the feel of satisfaction knowing that they finally somewhat contributed to the party? (kidding, sort of)

By foreprocess did you mean how i explained my post?

What did you mean by "I turn to different professions?"
Did you mean you like to utilize secondary class skills for your warrior builds? If so, i've tried to make my warrior work with a 2nd class but i always end up using 8 warrior skills because they're just more useful. (Even though GW encourages it.) On the occasions that i do find a useful 2ndary skill, i find that the attribute points spent on making teh skill work pays back with little reward or just gimmicky which is still fun btw just not satisfying after a day's use. I'm just going to outright say that i think warrior class is bad at making use of most skills that isn't a warrior skill.

You make a lot of sense with your SY argument, but you should try DoA hardmode, or any other elite area with and without it and then decide again. When I suggested the skill I assumed your builds were for difficult hard mode areas, so save yourselves is typically helpful. It isn't a necessity for most areas and is typically a waste of a skill slot, but you should not rule it out when things get difficult.
