Default Beast Master.

Looking for a beast master build. I've always kind of wanted to try one, but i never really tried. I was thinking a condition on arrows, barrage, another bow skill, then the rest beast skills..

Any good builds? (pve)

Well,Pets are a waste really..but if you want to try go with somthing like:
Run As one
Charm Animal
Heal pet(or what ever its called)
Barbed Spear
Disrupting Lunge/Throw
Poison Bite
random attack skill
Res Sig/another attack skill.

Or did you really want the barrage/pet set up?

So is this a Ranger/paragon build?

I just want pure ranger.. Maybe monk for a reuseable rez.

Barrage would be nice

Oook,Somthing like this then.
Charm Animal
Heal Pet
Barrage
Poisonous Bite
Disrupting Shot
Savage Shot
Lightning Reflexes
Res Sig/your fav. rez
OR try
Volley in the place of Barrage and Strike As One in the place of Savage Shot or Lightning Reflexes for more beast mastery use.

Though as i said before...Pets are a waste in most cases.
also could try fitting in some PVE skills if you have a good rank(maybe I Am The Strongest!,norn shout).

One that I use:

11 Beast Mastery, 10 Marksmanship, 10 Expertise

Keen Arrow
Savage Shot (can be replaced by generic interrupt)
Hunter's Shot
Poisonous Bite (replace when fighting non-fleshy enemies)
Tiger's Fury (can be replaced with generic IAS)
Heal as One (Elite - this is the healing of the build, if you use a different elite, you need a new heal)
Charm Animal
Signet of Return (Paragon Resurrection - can be replaced with other resurrection skills)

Hope this helps.

Default curse barrage

i know u said all ranger but curse barrage ive found works really well, barrage mark of pain, barbs, pet skills, the curses help u, ur pet, and allies do major damage, good if u use it right.

With Mark of Pain,Barbs is actually a really bad choice,it makes the foe die faster which=less AOE destruction from Mark.

well since you said PvE, the PvE skill Never Rampage Alone is something to consider. You wanted all Ra skills but I've used NRA with a PvE Thumper before which worked well.
I'd just suggest that you don't limit yourself just to the primary class skills and consider other secondary lined skills (although I'm assuming it's availability of skills versus not wanting to use them). As indicated above, /Paragon is always nice. /Warrior for a Thumper is fun (can run other defensive stances including things like Escape to front line in PvE - Although no PUG will ever hear of it. I hope you're H/H =). Even /Monk for pet smiters (use to run an Ferocious Strike build to fuel the cost of things like Balth's Aura).

K so.. Mostly I don't care if its pure ranger.. Thumper might be nice. Mabey burning arrows + posionous bite.. Then a defensive stance or shout from warr/para wouldn't be bad

I'ma try this out

what is there pve to capture in Factions/nightfall

If you want to be the best Beastmaster, /P is the way to go.

I noticed lack of D/Shot somewhere above. Not having that on a bow ranger is like not having Prot Spirit on a monk. The two best non-elites...hell, two of the best skills in the game, period.

Scavengers Strike is nowadays pretty good energy management for a beast master. If your low on energy, or have a slot take that and ull never run out of e again

Bearing in mind that beastmaster, while fun, is a hopelessly third-rate build even at its best, here's some general tips:

* With +80 armor-ignoring damage for 5e on a 5sec recharge, Enraged Lunge is the be-all, end-all pet attack. There's no reason to even consider another elite.

* Great Dwarf Weapon can be applied to your pet, making a beastmaster the only character that can (sort of) self-apply GDW.

* Feral Aggression and/or Call of Haste provides a long-recharge skill to fuel Enraged Lunge while increasing your mileage from GDW.

* Call of Protection is pretty much mandatory to keep a pet alive in the harder areas of PvE.

True, but BM is the only choice of build for maps which require you to bring items (h/h ofc) disabling the use of any bow-related skills.

Personally BM is rather powerfull, but thats because i'm a Ranger, use 3x R/x barrage/incendiary hero's, both R hencies and 2 monks. On 4 pets a BM-support really shines.

-Feral aggression (+speed/damage for pet)
-Revive animal (or comfort animal, i prefer this so i can dump comfort on my hero's)
-Ebon battlestandard of honor (godlike on 3x barrage)
-Great dwarf weapon (can hold it on pet and all 3 R/x hero's, and solo still works great with feral aggression's speed boost)
-Pain inverter (more damage)
-Ebon escape (heal support)
-Heal as one (self/pet heal)
-Res

Its really passive, but for your pet it means (assuming 12 BM, rank 1 on titles) +9 +15 (+24 total) damage and 33% faster attacks consistently.
For your party in range it means +15 +8 (+23 total) damage. Not to mention with barrage setup that's a lot of KD's.

If you prefer a more active build, you can switch Heal As One/Ebon Escape for pet attacks.
