Default Ranger Droks runner....can it be done?

Hey guys,

I've been away from gw for 3 years. Back in the day I ran Droks with a R/mo build. It wasn't pretty but I could get there.

Warriors and Monks at the time where the top runners in that particular area.

So after many changes can a Ranger still make the droks run, and what build are peeps using now a days?

Thanks for your help.

Athis

Edit* I found this, is this build still viable? http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Beac...knar%27s_Forge

It is possible, I got a run by a R/A the other day and he was pretty quick too.

The only thing that made it a bit harder for rangers to run droks was the duration/recharge rates of the stance were halved and that the evade mecahnism was removed (turned into block, damned stupid update/nerf). There were pretty minor changes to the run, on the plus side there are now vastly better skills to help make the run easier, such as [["I am unstoppable"], [[Feel no pain], [[Shadow form (pve)], [[vow of silence], [[fleeting stability] etc..

It still takes a degree of skill, but if you could do it before you will find it a heck of a lot easier now.

Since the build code isn't working can you actually post the build... can't get into GW right now and I don't have any patients

PvX wiki has a pretty good Ranger/Monk run build, and with some fine tuning it should run fine. Best thing to ddo is get on to wiki and check out the area your running and figure what the monsters are gonna blast you with so you can be ready to drop the condition or hex or what things you can put on to stop the spells from being put on you period.

Dwarven Stability + Escape covers the majority of the speed boost. You only need a backup for those very, very few mobs capable of stripping it.

VoS/SF are pretty excessive unless your a primary Derv or Sin. Theres absolutely no need for them on the droks run, anyone can be immune to KD with I Am Unstoppable, Holy Veil takes care of Deep Freeze.
