Im sure this has been done before but I was wondering how effective/useful would it be to equip Earth Bound insignias (+15 armor vs. Earth Damage) to all your ranger armor pieces, the maintain Stone Striker (elementalist move which converts both elemental + physical damage to earth damage).

The idea is to take advantage of the rangers bonus armor against elemental damage.

Stone Striker also has the low energy cost of only 5.

Thoughts on this combo please.

its useful for farming but other then that extra armor isnt needed, unless u want to be a tank[which isnt useful]

It'd be nice, but I wouldn't bother for the most part unless you're running a build that needs it.

You'd take barely any damage, though, for what it's worth, and it often isn't worth that much as warriors with frenzy have taught us.

Most of the damage I take is degen or armor ignoring.

Take Storm Chaser for energy management aswell.

There used to be a Ranger tank build along these lines with Obsidian Flesh as the elite.

Its very effective and has been used a lot for years. Rangers have advantages over any other profession, one is elemental armour, so using this maximises our strength.
