Default End vanquish screenshots (Ranger teams)

Just wondering if this may be a fun idea. If you are a ranger primary, focusing on mainly ranger skills and maybe a few others .. and also some or most of your other team consisting of rangers, it would be fun to see a screenshot of your party's skill bars and the golden vanquish symbol as a proof.

The principle is of course to prove that rangers are awesome! ^^

Just goes to show anything is possible with 7 heroes. (And a pile of cons)

Well I don't have any IG screens but here is a team build I made. I have NOT tested this and it might work alright.

Anyone is welcome to try it. If you do, PM me with the results.

Also the team build consists of a ton of minions, 3 pets, and 3 barragers. Also an interrupter. And 1 prot and 1 heal.

Top bar is totally optional but include GDW and cast it on the barragers.

I ran a ranger spike team for the lulz with my brother but i don't know how many screenshots i got of it :S

But i consisted of mostly rangers, a healer a protter and a paragon with anthem of envy and gfte.

EDIT: it was a dalada uplands vanquish. Ahhh sweet revenge on charr stalkers...

No cons. Two wipes from Mandragor groups.

OMG took me AGES to find that spawn, I spent a good 12 minutes running around in the map to find them to finish the VQ.

The only ranger in my team is me, so yeah, my hero build isn't that impressive, the usual spiritway + SS + HB + panic + dervish and me as R/P pet ranger, I only got wiped in the Vaettirs (but that was my first time there and over agrroed).

Braxton: Why not try yourself? Noone will ever bother to do work for you like that. I can give some critisism though.. Why have Keen shot and Barrage on the same bar? Barrage is your main attack. If you'd have Go for the eyes on a hero or something, i'd understand Keen arrow. Putting a 10energy hard cost spam skill on a warrior sounds like a really bad idea to me (considering the low energy regen)...

Wenspire: How did the traps work out on your heroes? Don't they get interrupted easily?

What are those two mesmer skills on there? And doesn't barrage work badly on heroes? Sorry for the overload of questions ^^ I would also like to know your complete monk skills bars.

I used nearly two hours on the vanquish, so twice as long as you. And yeah, the mandragor groups were really tough, got most of my deaths from those.

I've got pyrebound insignia on all my rangers, and wanderer's on the monks .. due to using Greater conflagration, all damage is reduced quite a bit.

I have to say, impressive for very few prots, and hopefully you didn't have many casualties. Resurrect in battle... I might be inclined to disable them, save potentially more harm than good.

i like the cut of your jib.

also, working on a team using jin, margrid, general, and hayda with my dervish using AoBalth for burning and "They're on Fire!" as the base. decent so far. no screenies though.

Xiaquin: How'd you tell? She's not, i must've forgot to do that before setting out .. ouch. ^^ I did get wiped a few times... consumed about 30 honey combs... but you live and learn through those experiences! Yes i was thinking about Ressurect too. But when you just have two monks like that, it's very helpful to have almost every other team member being able to res him, because it's always very busy in hell mode.. but it is a balancing issue clearly. Sometimes it'd be better to res the team altogether.

Mortenya: Can't wait to see some screenshots of that!

Thanks for your kind words ^_^

I haven't tried it, but I've been really tempted to try to Vanquish Charr areas with Rangers using Incendiary Arrows, Ignite Arrows, and Dual Shot...while I bring Ebon Battle Standard of Honor.

+25 damage per hit, including the Ignites, so Dual Shot would do +100 to a single target. If Incendiary Arrows hits three adjacent Charr, that would be +75 (3 arrows) + 75 (Ignite on arrow target) +150 (Ignite on other two per arrow)

But then again, it's rare you get adjacent enemies.

i'm still working on the builds/runes for all my heores/me, i'm still a newbie. it is basically Kway though, except i'm a derv, so i can spread conditions/burning, and have "They're on Fire!" to lower damage, as well as armor of sanctity (i think) that lowers damage taken from foes suffering from a condition.

all i gotta do then is learn how to block so that i take the hate.

literally, i don't think any of my heroes except like, dunk/koss have any runes. i'm still trying to get all the skills i want for it as well.

Dust Trap works great. Best idea is have them lay it before you initiate agro so they can spend time doing damage rather than take the extra few seconds to lay it. I learned to appreciate Dust Trap from my earlier days of doing Urgoz, and Healing Spring from those spiders in FoW's Spider Cavern.

Heroes handle Barrage just fine from what I've experienced. I feel that if you want your heroes to primarily focus on using Barrage, you should not take other single-target attack skills as they tend to use what is not on cooldown (interrupts excluded since they will only use them for that purpose).

The two Mesmer skills on their bars are Power Drain and Leech Signet.

Tahlkora: OwAT0mHD5JgQQmJrk7a941pTAA (4 heal, 15 prot, 13 divfav)
note: have Extinguish on manual use only or she will burn through EN like no tomorrow.

Dunkoro: OwAT043AZSj4uZjwfQiY6DCUnAA (15 heal, 13 divfav)

@Wenspire did you use the Me interrupts for E-management or did you feel you needed the extra interrupts?

To be honest, they function as both. Depending on what type of bow you equip them with as well as distance from their enemy they sometimes cannot land a proper interrupt when it counts. This is where the Mes skills shine with their 1/4 sec activation along with abnormally quick AI reflexes.

Of course, I really can't control which skill they attempt to interrupt with but I do find that they seem to use them well enough on their own.

Calista: Ofc, i should've seen x) I like your sig btw w__^^

Flame: That sounded a little weird, those calculations. Especially if it was in hard mode. But, if you can capture it on screen or video, it'd be cool to see it. Charr always give me a lot of trouble.

Wenspire: Good idea that - gives a good many free seconds from physical attackers.. and they may be able to sneak in a trap mid-combat too. Looks like a very easy way to give your heroes energy with those skills. Too easy for my liking ^^
But thanks for all that feedback and the monk builds!

Been farming troll tusks tonight with a trapper, no new vanquishes. I only do them as a zaishen quest, and only if i get title points as a reward on top.

I also use flatbows primary and always have a hero carry Favorable winds - i can't think of any reason to carry anything else.
