Default R/A Dagger Build

Jagged Strike
Fox Fangs
Death Blossom
Lightning Reflexes
Melandru's Assault
Call of Haste
Comfort Animal
Optional

This has been working great for me so far. Anyone else do something similar?

I sometime go dagger ranger myself. I use experts dexterity for my elite and 2 asuran skills. One for chance of blocking and asuran scan because I dont like to miss.

Not sure what you would do with a shield to be honest. My daggers don't have hp on them just defense.

I'm really fond of pets builds, those are the ones I use and like the most:
1 - OgETIZLeVC8RpI3YHU0j2o44uE
Expertise and BM are +2
I like this one with a Zealou axe, plenty of AoE, able to use a shield and SY!.

2 - OgkjYxXYpSleAZKYyS4G7i8g0GA
Expertise and BM are +2
Burning, Bleeding, DW (all make Scavenger Strike available), a nice DPS (about 85 DPS when I tested in the master of damage) and if you want more protection, change Enraged Lunge for Heal as One and Comfort Animal for a protective skill like Otyugh's Cry or Call of Protection, both you and your pet will be close to immortal

I think Never Rampage Alone and Scavenger Strike is pretty much must have in any dagger/pet build, and don't forget to fit an elite skill somewhere

Melandru's Assault only deals the stated damage to nearby foes. So instead of +x damage, nearby foes only take x damage.

I run without a pet:

jagged strike
fox fangs
death blossom
moebius strike
"I am the strongest!"
dwarven stability
lightning reflexes
whirling defense

Stances are because I always felt like you're most effective in a 7 NPC group if you have some tanking potential. Lightning reflexes is obviously also for 33% IAS, 22 out of 30 seconds with dwarven stability. Moebius strike seems a greater DPS increase than replacing lightning reflexes with expert's dexterity. Also chaining moebius-death blossom - moebius - etc gives nice quick AoE dps.

Lightning reflexes, whirling defense, IATS,dwarf stab all waste of slots ....

Expert's Dexterity, or Temple strike as elite are way better and apply poison with temple strike is win

Jagged, Fox Fangs, Death Blossom, Escape, Dwarven Stab, IAU, Asuran Scan and last slot for Whirling OR Lightning Reflexes depending on zone.

Running Experts Dexterity is just plain stupid, you can have 22\30 seconds with 75% block chance and 33% IAS with Dwarven Stability + Lightning Reflexes alone. And Escape helps you move faster between the different mobs, run to instances, run to portals and so on. Not to mention it lets you ball up and tank foes much much much easier.

Have you checked it in 3 1/2 years? Because that's how long it's been since it was changed.

Elite Stance. For 1...16...20 second[s], you attack 33% faster and your Marksmanship attribute is increased by 2.

It isn't updated at all, this is the right one:

I like Expert's Dexterity because you can have it up all the time and my ST Rit have Displacement anyway, and there isn't many other Elites to trade off, the only thing I would trade Expert's Dexterity for DS+LR would be HaO since it also brings the pet have a constant damage and rise your survivability a lot, but it would allow you bring NRA for IAS + Regen.
