Default Tombs Para

While the loot in Tombs of Primeval Kings has gotten terrible of late, it is still a fairly enjoyable place to complete, even for nostalgia's sake. It is also fun to complete to show the narrowminded groups of speedfarmers there that there isn't just one way to do everything. Thus, the Tombs Para. It's really just another version of the Orders Necro, with added durability and between-fights energy management. While it would be incredibly possible to play as a pure para in tombs (Make Your Time+Anthem of Envy, for instance), no group will ever let you in, so this is pretty much the next best thing.

Attributes
Blood Magic - 11
Command - 10+1
Leadership - 10+4

Skills
[skill]Anthem of Flame[/skill][skill]Anthem of Weariness[/skill][skill]Blood Ritual[/skill][skill]Order of the Vampire[/skill][skill]Go for the Eyes[/skill][skill]Signet of Return[/skill]Ebon Standard of Courage

Slot eight is optional, although another ridiculously overpowered PvE skill is always nice. TNTF not that useful here, unless your group has terrible aggroing abilities. Consider Asuran scan, as all party members receive the damage bonus and it will make terrorweb dryders and The Darkness drop even faster.

Go for the Eyes can be dropped if you find yourself not attacking much. In the few times I have been through tombs with this build, I have used GFTE maybe four times each trip, just because I am usually so busy casting and chanting and warding. Energy management is incredibly easy as a para.

It should be noted that anthems only trigger on the first target struck by barragers. This generally isn't a problem, as the barragers tend to spread out enough to ensure that arrows are flying from all angles. It should also be noted that Ebon Standard of Courage affects minions and pets, so a well placed ward near the front line will accelerate the killing process nicely.

Don't need orders imho, but who am I? Curses > Orders.

Tombs is melee, so anthem of weariness needs to go in there, works awesome with barrage.
Stand Your Ground is godly for taking care of the dryder nukes. Hex Breaker Aria works well for
the casters.

I use this on generahl morgahn:

Why not just take barrage yourself and the rest damage boosting shouts ?

So you replace one of the professions with a worse version of an existing build. My orders necro would easily outperform your para.
And it would still be the narrowminded B/P group.

You want a totally new team build:
Take 3 assassins, 3 or 4 paragons, 1 Rt (healer) and optionally mesmer/dervish.
The paragons are command, 2 P/W SY/TnTF. One para uses Anthem of Fury/TnTF to fuel SY fast. The optional para could use OoP.
Para's should maintain FTW on sins.
Run YMLaD / Finish him for KD/Deep Wound on off-targets.
Possible have some run Technobabble for daze (or use Awe for that).
Make sure you can remove hexes, since empathy would kill assassins very fast! Same for conditions, since two para's are P/W they would suffer from blind, preventing adrenaline gain.

The question is, could a build like this own the classic B/P

an Orders necro would eat that build.

necro solo builds = necro solo builds

paragon builds = paragon builds

I think mixing paragon builds with solo builds is the worst idea ever. Paragon class is the worst class for farming.

I think Madhouse point was to get paragons in topk runs...
My idea would be change one b/p into a paragon with barrage and offensive (preferable adraline) based shouts.

barrage (get adraline) --> spam adraline shout (get energy) --> barrage --> shout -->...

Seeing pets don't leave corpses anymore damage output supposly is way more important in topk these days.

Wazz,

Unfortunately, replacing a ranger with a para will not be as effective.
The adrenaline based usefull buffs are:
GftE and Anthem of Envy, but both will only buff one arrow.
That's easily outclassed by the single PvE skill Great Dwarf Weapon on several rangers.

A paragon will never be as effective in a B/P team as a ranger/mm/order/monk.
Take the orders necro for example.
The difference between this build and an necro orders build would be 4 damage/arrow.
That does not sound like a lot.
However.... if each arrow hits and there are 5 barrage rangers, that's 120 damage.
The para-order would also have the disadvantage of high health and thus high sac that needs to be healed.
I used to play 180HP order necro in ToPK a lot. Blood Renewal is enough to gain health back, even if Awaken is used to buff the order. So the healer can take care of the rangers and their pets, which is more important now they don't leave corpses anymore.

If you want to make a paragon really usefull in ToPK, you need to think outside the B/P team setup.

[When I have time I'll try to make a build. ]
But really I think a barrage paragon would be overkill.
You could also use : never surrender and fall back.
You could also try to use an energy demanding anthem aslong it doesn't exceed 5 it should be ok. (well I think).

BTW : this build (barrage paragon) would be used to replace a ranger
so their still would be an order necro spamming that vampiric spell. (I think you misunderstood that :-p)

haven't been able to test it yet but here goes:

Skills

barrage
gfte
anthem of envy
anthem of weariness *
leaders comfort *
never surrender
fall back
sig of return

skills with an * can be replaced with : anthem of flame/find their weakness/anthem of disruption (If you would ever get the luck to end up with 2 paragons in one group: try to synergy abit. Should work like a charm)

atributes

leadership 10+1+1 (so 12 fully runed)
command 11
barrage 10

equipement

a bow (hehe, wouldn't be fun if you would enter and have a spear equiped ;-p)
sup rune of vigor
+1 leadership rune
optional +1 command
rest insignias that give you health

Dunno if this will work: could fail, could work like a charm... but IMO it would own.
Could possible need some tweaking.

(There were no ursans (ab)used in the making of this build.)

(btw: how do you show the skill image ?)
