MM and SS are the two big damage builds for Necros.

You can get moderate damage out of the Blood line, but it tends to be single-target damage, not AoE. But Blood can be a lot of fun. Start with VG, Shadow Strike, Dark Pact and Awaken.

You can also get good mileage from support (blood non-damage) or debuff (curses non-damage)

I believe there is a blood spiker build somewhere.

I think most of the best skills in all of GW are Prophecies only.

You can be the personal healer for 1 or 2 people.

Blood Bond
Life Siphon
Blood Renewal
Awaken the Blood
Vampiric Swarm
Vampiric Gaze
Jaundace Gaze
Rez Signet or spell

Hope this helps.

Blood is Power is also in factions so you can always try being a battery. But if you need to play battery I would get out of that group pretty quickly since it's most likely a sign of sub-par monks. Order of pain is also in factions so you can mix that in with BiP to be a battery/orders mix which is really boring and kind of dangerous with all the saccing compared to being a minion master or a spiteful spirit curser.

I suppose you can also use Greneth's Balance (e) and equip lots of sac skills, like Blood Renewal, Awakening Of Blood, Jaundace Gaze, etc.

Use sac skills to harm your foes, then use Greneth's Balance to suck the life out of a fresh foe.

Nah, that's one of the most fun builds to play. I did one earlier:

Blood is Power {E}
Blood Renewal
Mend Ailment
Reversal of Fortune
Protective Spirit
Aegis
Order of Pain
Res Chant

15 blood (11 + 3 + 1)
11 Reaping (8 + 3)
10 Protection Prayers
Minor/Major Vigor
Whatever is left goes into Healing prayers for the Res Chant en boost (does 9% en restored)
If you're not taking OoP then you can take Blood down to 13 and do w/e you want with the attribute points.

It's only dangerous if you 1) Don't stay at the back (cause, seriously, wth are you gonna be doing there anyway?!); 2) Sacrifice when you really shouldn't and you know it (like when everything is hitting you); 3) Don't use Protective Spirit when you should (which is almost all the time - you have so much free energy with this build you can basically spam it on everyone). ALWAYS have it on yourself before you cast BiP.

Really fun to do. I kept BiP on all the casters almost continuously and they love it. This build works well in Fissure too. Note that you should keep Blood Renewal up all the time. The regen is nice, and even if it gets shattered you take no damage, so no worries about that. It gets rid of your sacrifices handily as well, because you'll only have about 360 hp max with all the runes on. BR heals for like 190hp. I recommend either a Blood staff with the following mods:

11-22
20-20% Casting times and Recharge
+5 energy
20% enchanting

Which you can assemble for pretty cheap. Collector staff + 6k energy + 10k wrapping.
