Most useful Necromancer builds these days?
Hi,
I used to be a massive Necromancer player a few years ago but had to quit the game due to studying and a job. Thankfully, I have time again! Meaning I'm coming back to the wonderful world of Guild Wars, and have quite a lot of time to sink into it to catch back up with everything. The Necromancer which I used to play, currently has nearly 1000 hours on it - that's how much I used to play it.  'Back in my day' the only roles a Necromancer used to play was Minion Master and Order Necromancer for Ranger Barrage groups. As I don't see these 2 builds being spoken of much anymore, I'm assuming they're not exactly useful? And occasionally an SS build. Anyone mind pointing me in the direction of useful group and single PvE/PvP builds so I can quickly jump back into the action? Or simply pasting them into this thread? Any help or advice at all would be much appreciated, Thanks!

Ahh good old orders
 Miss playing that build *cries*Sabway more suited to physical players Discordway-More suited to caster players Mark of pain nuker has many variants Many conflicting opinions on SS but anyway I've forgot something :S

The most useful build I ever had on a Necro was an AP Discord caller. And it wasn't actually for the Discord - I later modified it for a physical team, so when I called a target Mark of Pain would trigger 1000 times over and kill everything around it. The targeted foe when dead would recharge it via AP and I was good to go again.
I eventually got bored of it, but I believe that was the most damage I ever dealt on any character. |

AP is my normal build for almost everything in the PVE world, especially with minions on the team (Discord or Sabway). This build works slightly faster with Discordway, you call the targets and provide hexes and conditions for the massive damage of the team.
Mark of Pain Barbs Enfeebling Blood Rend Enchantments Assassin's Promise Ebon Vanguard Assassin Support You move like a Dwarf Finish him! The PVE skills can be switched around how you see fit. Some like By Urals Hammer, Pain Inverter, Mind Bender are all good choices. Max your curses, put 8 in Deadly Arts, and the rest in Soul Reaping. |
