That's like having a GvG team vs apr condis

And in RA:

1) Don't get dazed.
2) Learn how they can apply daze and don't fail.
3) Don't get dazed.
4) Don't get dazed.
5) If you do get dazed, kite like crazy and try to mending touch it off or spam RoF until it wears off

It's why I love my melandrus resilience bar. I run it with a bunch of 1/4 second casts and 2 signets. And when I'm dazed, I'm regenning health and energy faster!

Normally I just RoF and kite, praying I get an opportunity to get dismiss off.

However, I've been experimenting with Frenzied Defense. It seems to deal with beguiling, temple, and BHA relatively well. Of course, has a pretty significant downside but its another possibility to deal with daze.

Frenzied defense will most likely hurt you more then it will save you. If you're up against melee with anti blocking, it's going to rip you apart. An ele is going to rip you apart. I'd say it's not worth the risk tbh.

I do pretty well at not getting Dazed when it's preventable (I.E. BHA). Beguiling Haze is something that's virtually impossible to get by, though. And as for your Melandru build, could you post a sample perhaps?

This will probably sound lame to those more experienced than I in pvp but if daze is your primary worry couldnt you go necro secondary and take plague touch. You will probably have a melee hounding you so he's right there to accept the daze for you (especially nice if hes a dervish or sin who actually use spells and so will potentially be affected by being dazed). Since Plague touch isnt a spell it wont be affected by the fact that you are dazed.

Sorry if this seems like a noobish response...no experience as a monk but lots applying daze as a ranger.

Actually it's really funny you say that because tonight a guildie of mine suggested the same tactic. Mo/N and take Plague Touch, just pass it back to the person who gave it to you, or someone equally available. I'm gonna try this out. The only downside I can think of is that I'll miss out on other secondaries - but hey, you can't have everything, right?

Nice idea.

Not "lame" at all, unfortunately Dazed (conditions) aren't your only concern so usually you will draw on defensive secondaries that offer stances/mobility/Buffs.

@Someone from page 2, the skill you were thinking of was foul feast.

@The person who posted 12 remove condition skills and failed to read their descriptions, and also failed to realize the effect of dazed -- that was plain stupid.

@Frenzy Defense, never-ever-ever.

@OP, So, you don't like having to dedicate a couple of skill slots to defensive skills? Much like every other class has to dedicate skill slots to, e-mngmt, self heal, defense, rez sig, etc.

Imagine that they made this game a tad non-linear. Boo with complexity.

The point I was trying to make was that it would be nice if I could change things up, skill wise, without becoming a Dazed magnet. Luckily, the whole Plague Touch method works wonders. I've tested it out on more than Dazed, and it's priceless when a Sin ports in (like one tried to do last night, with SP) and cripples you. Instead of removing it, just pass it back to him with Plague Touch and run away larfing. Worked wonders for Deep Wound spams too.

And only having to run one anti-condition skill (besides Dismiss, or your personal preference for condition removal) means I got to change up my bar some. Slapped on SOA one time, Shielding Hands another ...

Pretty cool stuff.

plague touch will have a hammer warrior or assualt derv laughing in your face all day when you run up to give them a kiss hello.

I don't need to run up to them. They come right to me. Especially when someone Dazes a Monk, everyone rushes them. I know it may sound weird or dangerous having to get in touch range to use a skill for condition removal, but it works good when you get out there and try it.

I 'touched' on Sins in another reply. As for the hammer weilders, whether it be Warriors or Rangers, if you can't see them coming a mile away then there's issues.

Pre-prot ftw.

You are still going into a different class to utilize a skill that helps you deal with daze. I'm glad you have found something that works for you that you enjoy.

And yes it is pretty fun to throw daze/or deep wound/etc back on someone. Recently I have been enjoying a corrupt enchant necro build that includes Foul Feast and Plague Sending. Very amusing indeed =)

Corrupt Enchant is GG. I just finished a match against a Necro using that, it's pretty tricky stuff to keep the right enchantments up.

I usually just hit my stance and dismiss condition the moment i get dazed. Otherwise, unless your fighting an incredibly offensive team, you can usually kite it off.

I'm playing monk alot in ta but i have never really had much problems with daze. If you don't use a build that is 'immune' daze (Melandru monk, hc monk etc) it needs to be removed.

Have the ranger mend touch it.
Have the necro draw it.
Have someone remove it with purge signet.

Usually i don't even need much help removing it, disciplined stance + mend touch pretty much always works.

On topic, there's not much to add. Provided you don't need your secondary for anything else, Plague Touch is ftw. Otherwise ... CoP?

It's way too nice to play a Broadhead Arrow Ranger in AB You just snare the monk with "Pin Down", daze em with broadhead and see the degen killing him while he tries to outheal with ZB :P
Also works with annoying SF Eles, B-Surgers, MMs etc.

BTW how do you guys insert the pic&description of a skill in a post?
When I run across a BroadHead Arrow ranger I usually laugh. When I run across a good MegaBane ranger I usually sigh.
