ok this post might have been posted once alrdy by soem one elase, but i used surcha and it came up tit warrior/mes builds for solo FOW/UW.

any way, for a long time i have been intrested in playing a mesmer, but i have never got around to making one. so i ask u all this. wich is the best game to make one in ( for skills wise elites and all). i have all 3 games, i was thinkign NF, can get heros and all, but im not so sure

. could u possible help me please

Congratulations and welcome to the joys of playing a mesmer.

My opinion - the best chapter to start a mesmer is Prophecies. Best skills in game and great learning curve.

Nightfall is fine for making a Mesmer, as long as you know the skills the mesmer has and what you will be facing in your travels.

Do not use Backfire on a Warrior. Do not use Power Spike on a Healing Signet, etc. This is basic knowledge, but since you've never tried a Mesmer, I'd thought you may find this a little useful. (So please don't think I'm talking down to you.)

Otherwise, Prophecies is the place for you to start (if you just want to get a real good handle on Mesmers).

Edit:

For elites, start anywhere. Elites in Prophecies are around mid-game - Desert missions. I created my Mesmer in Prophecies, then went to Cantha. Got 20th level henchies and picked up the Assassin Hero. Went back to LA and got Olias. Then went to Kamdam and got the other heros.

Remember, you can get free skills for core professions from LA on, in Prophecies.
