Yeah - some sweet changes to the Mesmer ELITES! Tease looks fun, now. And VoR - they added some AoE so it hexes other foes as well!

I like the trend! ANet is now willing to go back and rework a skill completely!

Tease looks so sexy now (pun intended.)

And Lyssa's Aura is interesting.

VoR is not really better than SS. SS can be stacked through arcane echo, VoR is pointless to do so since it is an AoE hex unless your enemies are spreaded out maybe. SS is not an AoE hex but AoE damage. Furthermore, SS activates on attack as well as using a skill, VoR activates only on using a skill.

On the other hand, VoR has higher damage. Tease is just CoF but with some energy stealing rather than damage, meh as an elite, maybe some use in pvp? I guess mesmer elites were so bad before that we are all so excited when they became just usable.

LA is the winner, doesn't look overpowered yet, but can be nice in a thought-out build.

Extend Conditions looks good with its low recharge time. Maybe try Arcane Mimicry LA, then Extend Conditions over and over, bye bye condition removal, oops time for a mesmer nerf?

have you guys talking about it tried it? i've been running it with a friend, him on VoR, me on AP, and we're getting in, getting it cast while the monsters are balled, and between that, Wandering, Clumsy, and CoP from the both of us, nothing can do anything, and when and if they do, they die any how.

long story short.. i think its mega badass.

LA is ok, but i dont think i've ever run of energy in pve ever, and in pvp, my elites deserve actual action on the field, not something to crutch my playstyle.

Mirror on the other hand... smexy. I see this being a REALLY nasty spike tool, keeping bing prots like PS and SB totally useless, and small prots like SoA and Guardian nonexistent.

SS has to be cast individually, and ends when said target dies. also, its damage is like what.. a quarter of VoR? Arcance VoR, cast on mob, then they ALL have it, and ALL start dying in one cast, and when the hex is over... cast it again... and again. you get everyone in one shot (assuming you're playing it that way). Also.. monsters use skills... right? you guys make it sound like the enemy will never do anything but attack and never cast.

Well this will be a neat little combo

[Glyph of immolation] Pre casted

[extend conditions] new update
• Extend Conditions: functionality changed to: "Spread all conditions from target foe to all foes near your target. The durations of those conditions are increased by 5..100% (maximum 30 seconds)."

Followed by

[steam]

PVE or PVP

Not saying it is bad skill. It recharges for 20s and lasts for 10s so it has a 50% down time. Arcane echo would still help since it holds it for 20s so you can recast it on the target after 10s, but you have to time it. Maybe more effective on casters with fast recharge skills, than on melee.

I wonder if Extend Conditions can be used to perma daze/blind/weakness now since it has such a fast recharge. Perma shutdown everyone!

Shhhh! Or they'll nerf it!!

@Magikarp: It may be my imagination, but I think they tweaked the mob AI to hold off on using skills when they get hexed. I've been using [mistrust], and post update, the enemy spell-casters have been hesitating - sometimes they'll cast within the 6 sec window, sometimes they didn't. Prior to the update, it seemed like they'd go ahead and cast right away. (Like I said, it may be my imagination, but it did seem like mobs were behaving differently after the update.)

not to mention

• Lyssa's Aura: increased recharge to 30 seconds. Functionality changed to: "(10 seconds.) You have 0..4 Energy regeneration. Renewal: every time you cast a spell on an enemy."

Warming up the old air machine gunner build with no need for dual attunement

VoR is just a glorified version of Backfire, still not really worth using;

- SS in general is stronger in PvE.
- It's interrupt fodder in PvP.
- Like Backfire, VoR only hurts when the victim lets it, so smart play can count it to hell in PvP.

Tease, after a quick test, I've found it to be highly attractive combined with CoF in PvP. Two AoE skill interrupts is sweet.

VoR can be combined with [Wastrel's Worry] for a win-win situation , but it still isn't very useful pvp.

It would make the game more interesting - and a better training ground for PvP if they did. If mobs know to wait before using a skill, or casting a spell, it makes it more realistic (and smart!).

I've been ABing a bit and I have to say I LOVE LOVE LOVE the new LA!
It's beyond sweet!

Well, I was actually playing an ele, capping shrines and some of the mesmer NPCs have LA and I didn't lose like all my energy just from simply nuking them!
Those poor suckers can have all the energy they want from the new LA.
Love it!

Just to throw it out there, but after having done AB for a while this morning I discovered [Visions of Regret] is a fantastic anti-Touch Ranger skil!

While they mindlessly spam Vampiric Bite/Touch they're taking 80+ damage per skill.

Just wondering if the description of [visions of regret] is current on this page, because wiki says For 10 seconds, target foe and adjacent foes take 15...75 damage whenever they use a skill

while the this says "adrenal skill"

Never trust the bbCode skill descriptions, a lot are massively outdated. Always read GuildWiki (or the skills in-game) for the correct descriptions.
