Default Looking for Mesmer Build to beat shiro with in Factions, but dont have ETON skills.

Hello

I just started a playing my first Mesmer character, so, not alot of experience with them, but it is my belief that Mesmers are Underated, and can do so much more, anyway, i will be going up against shiro, sometime tonight at imperium santum, last mission in factions, is there a mesmer build that can beat shiro, either, disabiling him or killing him, i am aware of that assassins and even SS or SV Necros Own shiro, just wondering if you guys know of any builds that would help for my mesmer, i have 2 mesmers masks for my armor, 1 is setup for illusion the other domination, thank you for any advice you can give.

Midnight Extasy.

Do you only have Factions? If you have Proph, Factions and Nightfall it's easy as hell.

You: Visions of Regret, Empathy, Spirit of Failure, Wastrel's Worry, Physical Resistance, Cry of Pain, two random skills you'll never touch

Olias: Spiteful Spirit, Soul Barbs, Reckless Haste, Insidious Parasite, Enfeeble, Price of Failure, Signet of Lost Souls, Res Signet

Whispers: pretty much same as above, change SS to Spoil Victor

Dunkoro/Tahlkora: WoH hybrid build

Devona, Lukas, Kai Ying, Daeman or Zho

Henchmen get Celestial skills, so you want Devona, Lukas, and Kai Ying because of the ridiculous damage output of theirs, plus a ranger gives your entire party blocking chance which helps Spirit of Failure, Price of Failure, etc. Also you don't want to take a henchman monk because henchies can get banished, and the last thing you want is Shiro getting healed.

BTW thanks for giving the mesmer some love. It's my main/title hunter and I like seeing others say they're unappreciated Also depending on when you do it, feel free to hit me up in game and I'll jump over there and help you out.

V Why Enfeebling Blood? There's usually only one target, two max, Enfeeble lasts longer, no sacrifice, two copies so you could weaken both...I don't think I understand that one. Any other situation, I agree I'd always take Enfeebling Blood. Also, yeah VoR isn't that great on him but there's really no other mesmer elite I'd take over it. Maybe Ineptitude, but then you'd have to run illusion. Maybe Lyssa's Aura or something instead.

Enfeebling Blood to be honest.

You never know, the extra occasional enemies may pop up, and Enfeebling Blood isn't going to put you off very much.

Although VoR seems a pretty weak skill on Shiro to me; last time I checked he didn't use many skills.

Signet of Midnight + Plague Touch.
Conditions/hexes last half duration on Shiro.
With SoM lasting 15 secs - this boils down to some 7 secs after which you Plague Touch your blindness. Which means another 3 secs of blind thus being able to keep him blinded pretty much constantly. If you want to go pure mesmer - then Mantra of Inscriptions is your friend. (Although since you'll just spam Empathy and WW you might as well take both ...).

I will agree with Signet of Midnight. I kinda forget about those unlinked elites sometimes. So I'd say go Me/N - with SoM and Plague Touch/Sending that's 7 skills for your mesmer bar, I'd bring a res signet in slot 8.

BTW it should be noted that during Impossible Odds, if he gets a hit off all the conditions you place on him will be transferred to whoever he hits. Blind is great for that since it lowers his hit so much, it helps maintain the weakness and all that junk - just make sure to get it back on him if you see somebody take damage.

Offer still stands that if you're having problems getting it done, let me know.

VoR can be good against Shiro if he happens to spam Riposting Shadows.
Which he probably will. Since he makes an attack when he uses it, Empathy will trigger too.

Just throwing that in there. SoM always seemed a bit iffy to me.

I guess what I used was his attack skills against him have been listed above (Spiteful Spirit, empathy, Spoils fo victor). When solo I always take the necro hench along because they use the star skill that creates another target for shiro. The more he hits the more damage he takes. Corner him so he can not teleport and he is done in a flash.
