Default Wastrel's Worry for Mallyx?

Got this monkey today, my panic build was great for the 19 waves but not able to do too much against him. I'm think about Wastrel's Worry but not sure is this skill good to spam him or not, will he trigger his consume torment before the hex ends?

I haven't fought Mallyx myself yet, but if he is like any other boss, then it could be a pretty good spell to bring along.

Hex durations on bosses don't last as long as they do on normal mobs. I've noticed with Wastrel's Worry that the damage is almost instant when you cast it on a boss. No waiting for the three seconds.

So it could work well, but can't tell you for sure as I haven't fought him myself. But it does a great job on regular bosses.

It's a little gamble with the hexes against him. Wastrel's Worry is great damage against bosses like the poster above said but Mallyx eats hexes pretty fast and even gains health from those. Personally I would not take it against him but sure you can of course try and explore more =P

WW works fine against Mallyx and is highly worth it during the 19 wave spawns. BTW: When you enter the gate hit ESC and move back as soon as the game lets you,it will keep the gate open and let you pull Mallyx right out past his effects and torment demon spawns.

Makes the fight more of a cakewalk without enviro effects. Mop up the rest of the demons and grab the chest. Mallyx is the easiest and shortest fight of the entire quest if you know what you're doing.

My build is
Panic, lightbringer signet, overload, spiritual pain, shatter delusions, mistrust, unnatural signet, chaos storm.
Got a lot of AoEs to spam out but could only use 3 skills on Mallyx, he's pretty easy when we pull him outside.

Because the duration is so short, Wastrel's Worry works very well on Mallyx. Once in a while he'll manage to use Consume Torment, but in the long run you'll do far more damage than he'll heal.

That sums up my thoughts exactly. I usually bring Cry of Frustration on a domination build so i can usually interrupt Consume Torment if my mind is sharp.

Have 1guy camp the door at last wave, that way if u skip the door always stays open.
If u don't then its not waterproof that the door will be open.

You can start your spike with Diversion so Mallyx will use Consume Torment to remove it and has it diverted for 50 ++ seconds....The you load him with hexes and conditions

Yes, it is worth using. WW will always end before Consume Torment is cast due to the half hex duration on Mallyx.
