Default Possible to complete Norn Solo Tournament?

How?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!

How do you do this as an ele?!!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!

I have tried EVERYTHING from many websites like this:
http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Guid...agni_the_Bison

BUT I STILL CANNOT beat this STUPID quest. EVERY time I tried, I cannot get past the 1st two or three people, they either heal too fast or do too much damage......

The easiest way to complete the norn tournament would be to spirit spam.

http://pvx.wikia.com/wiki/Build:Any/..._Spirit_Farmer

The problem is whether or not you actually have the rit skills as an elementalist...

Is there any way to do it without access to Rt spells?

Use kinetic armor and ether renewal with glyph of swiftness. You can use ward of honor, sliver, stone daggers, stoneflesh and w/e. Works charms. run full estorage and earth magic. Sup runes for both would work best

Air line with blinds and KD is good....ebon vanguard assassin is good, pain inverter is always nice.

Remember you're making a spike build, so having lots of energy management isn't always needed

With the bottomless energy of an Ele, I'd go Echo + Arcane Echo + Ebon Vanguard Sin + Ebon Battlestandard of Wisdom.

That should be enough to kill most opponents before time runs out. You'll still have problems with Vekk(blurred vision), Argo(terra tank),the 55hp monk and a few opponents with enchant stripping. I'd fill up the rest of the bar with Mesmer enchant strips and inspiration Interrupts for e-management and to keep some of the tougher spells shut down.

Just get a few a the of the spirits in the rit build. Thats the easiest way ( the more the better ofc )

You can also use Sneak Attack
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Sneak_Attack

That keeps your target blind.

as ele main i can give you some advice.

1. spirit spam works everytime regardless of the enemies you face just make sure you spam spirits just outside the door so the round doesnt start until you're done with it then just walk forward abit and spirits should kill your enemy.
2. ebon assassin is usually pretty effective (depends on your title rank)
3. Ursan also works like a charm here (again depends on your title)
4. (2+3) this is pretty much doable with any prof just go second prof mes, precast echo then hit the enemy with 2 ebon assassins, use ursan and nuke him to death.

hope this helps

As people have said spirit spam is best, especially if you can get Signet of SPirits.

But as you have said you don't have access to these, I would suggest a spike build to include YMLAD and EVAS.

YMLAD them then send in the EVAS then spike em

Long, long ago before I learned more about the game, I did this quite simply with:

12 + 1 + 3 = 16 Air Magic
12 + 1 = 13 Energy Storage
3 Curses

Blinding Flash
Lightning Orb
Lightning Hammer
Enervating Charge
Aura of Restoration
Air Attunement
Elemental Attunement [E]
Rend Enchantments

Rend is specifically for Mhenlo; everyone else you out-nuke and outheal. The build can definitely be improved by today's standards, but it worked for me then and didn't involve any PvE skills, so ...

"You Move Like a Dwarf!"
Summon Ruby Djinn
Ebon Vanguard Assassin Support

With those spells you can easily beat it no matter your proffesion. Use ymld for rupt their 1st skill, assissin support and ruby djinn. Ymld is a shout, so make sure you stand close enough, you can shout in during casting sin support.
If you aren't war, sin or derv go back and your summons will be attacked instead of you. Healers die before you cast any other spell. Razah's spirits might be a problem, be fast here.

Good luck

I play as a ranger, i wouldn't know about elementalists. I also haven't tried after asuran scan was nerfed. But i could almost breeze through as a spiker, cause so much damage within the first 3 seconds so they wouldn't be able to even touch me before it was over.

A little bit harder against bison, but 4\5 times i would defeat him that way too.

You -should- be able to nuke them as an elementalist... you get about 10 seconds before the fight starts to set up your skills

Dont remember the exact build i used, but it included the Necro skills Insidious Parasite and Spitefull Spirit. It also had Pain Inverter. For magni i prolly used what Wiki recommended, YMLAD. Run away and do damage, repeat.

http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Guide...ing_Tournament

I do know the other opponents were easy, especially melee foes.

Oh yeah, if u have it display your Norn Rank !
The tournament is in Norn territory, the extra health from the Norn rank works therefore!

I think I had some really silly ER prot/burning build: Ether Renewal, Protective Spirit, Reversal of Fortune, Aura of Attunement, Burning Speed, Frigid Armor, Elemental Flame, and Steam, with 9 fire/9 water/10 energy storage/8 protection prayers.

In retrospect, I would probably go for more direct damage, but at the time Mhenlo just kind of pissed me off. The point is, as long as you keep your enchants up, and cast like mad when ER is up, there's pretty much no chance you're going to die. ER/Prot Spirit is just kind of OP in that setting.

Ignore the gimmicky sugestions. Dual attune air, as Jeydra suggested, works fine. Great damage, energy management and protection. You can probably swap elemental lord for aura of rest and glyph of rest for rend (mhenlo rarely comes up).

You'll need as much as:

You Move Like A Dwarf
Necrosis
Ebon Vanguard Assassin Support

And some sort of Enchantment removal for Mhenlo.

Cast YMLAD, followed by EVAS and spam Necrosis. Recast YMLAD whenever your target breaks out of cripple to keep a safe distance.

I did this on my mesmer the other day, it was a breeze.

My build:

E/D

Mind Blast
Immolate
"You Move Like A Dwarf"
Ebon Vanguard Sniper
Ebon Vanguard Assassin
Glyph of Lesser Energy
Fire Attunement
Mystic Regeneration

At round start, cast your Ebon Vanguard skills and YMLAD. Then spam Mind Blast and Immolate. Re-apply cripple with YMLAD when needed. Mystic regen if you need healing. I've beaten the tournament countless times with that build.

Why Immolate? At rank 12 Fire Magic, over 5 seconds, Flare offers 5x56=280 dmg for 15e (under Fire Attunement), whereas Immolate is just 67 + 3x7 (from burning) = 85.

Sweetie because you have other skills to use. Damage per second is an extremely poor tool to test a skill.

I would pick a skill that has 1s cast time, 600 second cooldown and deals 1000 damage to adjacent foes than a skill with 1s cast time, no cooldown, and deals 56 damage to adjacent foes every cast.

1.7 damage per second from Option 1 is clearly inferior to the 33 damage per second from Option 2, but players will more likely pick the former option.

Oh and you realize Flare has an aftercast, so its 56 damage per 1+(0.75) seconds, or 33 damage per second if your a pro button masher. (most likely 30-32 because of lagz)
