Default AoG build suggestions?

[build prof=D/E box scythe=11+1+1 myst=10+1 wind=8+1 water=6][resurrection sig][avatar of grenth][conjure frost][heart of fury][attacker][eremites][chilling victory][pious assault][/build]

i'm at work right now and just thinking about different builds. started thinking about [[avatar of g] the unblockability while enchanted quality it has, along with inherent damage conversion which could allow for the use of [[conjure frost] along with a sundering or vamp scythe. using AoG to hit through guardian isn't new, but i haven't seen any builds that also incorporate a conjure.

i'm not saying this build is great or perfect (i haven't even tried it out personally) but i was just thinking it could be useful and fun.

drawbacks-
-AoG is not permanent in PvP so you will have downtime with it.
-no snare or IMS. i was thinking about [[whirling charge] in place of [[heart of fury] to take care of this.
-Scythe Mastery is only 13. probably not that big of a deal but i always prefer 14. true max damage from melee weapons comes at 12 in the attribute, so even while suffering from weakness, at SM 13, you will still hit that number.
-Mysticism is only 11 when it should be a multiple of 3. you want as much time on your avatar as possible, so going down to 9 isn't much of an option and there's not really any attribute to lower in order to push this to the next level as far as i can see.

benefits-
-AoG provides a way to push through [[guardian] and [[aegis] with no problem. it seems like everyone in PvP is enchanted all the time and this skill completely ignores it.
-AoG already deals cold damage so you can still take a vamp or sundering scythe and receive those benefits along with the benefits from the conjure. this is the real reason i started to play with this build. you still need an icy scythe for when AoG is down, though.

anyway, you tell me your ideas. do the drawbacks outweigh the benefits? i won't actually be able to try this out until late tonight, so if someone wants to give it a try and report back, i would appreciate it.

Pious Assault would can strip your two big enchantments, Conjure Frost or Heart of Fury. To be honest, I would really rather use Wearying Strike -> Signet of Malice -> something more automated in terms of attack speed.

I thought the point of AoG was to take 4 attack skills that recharged in like 5 seconds so you could spam 1234 on your keyboard and kill stuff?

Honestly AoG isn't that great anymore compared to what it use to be.

correct me if i'm wrong because i'm not 100% on this but won't PA take off AI even though it would end after AI? usage should be something like

Eremite's->AI->CV->PA
if that doesn't work then you go
Eremite's->CV->AI-> PA
it could be a pain in the ass to cast AI in the middle of a spike though.

i did think about using wearying strike also but wanted to stay away from weakness if i could. can't use [[signet of malice] as D/E and i'm trying to find a way to use conjure and get the spike from sundering mod also.

@bowstring, i think that was the point. i'm trying to find something else to use if for. just curious if this may be viable.

Pious Assault will remove Attacker's Insight if you use that first, and it will remove two enchantments if used second.

As for Signet of Malice, GG to you.

Yeh, it's a gimpy way to get your Deep Wound fix imo. Shame that bar the Elites, there's only
[wearying strike] : no Weakness removal as D/E AoG afaik
[pious assault] : Tyla alrdy said why

I'd consider a quick recharging ench to sac to Pious, but it looks you'll have to
A: spec Earth for that (NOOOOOO)
B: [frigid armor] ?

@bobby, i think attacker's insight is a quick enough recharging enchant to sac to PA. now that i think about it, you could use the chain like AI->PA->eremite's->CV. it doesn't matter if you use PA first or last really and this way you don't have to stop in the middle of the chain for AI. the main problem that i see now, which i didn't really take into account to begin with is how much energy this build might require. AI helps a little bit but i'm not sure if it'll be enough. i just wanna get home and test it out really.

so you get one hit in every 8 seconds, at least. what about the rest of the spike?

it removes stances. the only other blocking comes from aegis or guardian, and if your target is already targeted by a prot monk, then good luck with that spike.

AoG allows you to keep on pressurizing a protted target. You don't have to spike ALL the time, stuff has cooldown y'know.

i tried it out a little in RA last night, which isn't really the best testing ground but it worked fairly well... when i had the energy for it. that's the main problem with the build. very energy intensive. it's great for a spike on any target but difficult to keep constant pressure.

@lotus even with my target being targeted by a prot monk, i was still able to get all of my hits through and i think if there were 2 AoG dervs even being the target of a prot monk wouldn't matter during the spike. one by myself just can't do enough damage.
