Right, so I was trying this D/Me Dwayna UW Solo build, which "has both high survivability and damage output, and is one of the easiest UW farming builds to use." Ok. So, I follow everything (equipment, usage suggestions), and when I get to just the first few Aatxe, 1..2.., and I'm dead. Huh? I try again, and dead in two. I feel like I am completely missing something obvious because I die so easily with this build. I tried this build outside of the UW too and it's a no-go. What glaringly obvious...something..am I missing?

You don't kill Aatxe's , you avoid them , aggro graspings kill graspings , run to ice wastes and kill the smites.

let me guess. you're attacking the aatxe? if so there lies the problem. many of the solo farming builds that have been out, especially the dervish ones, are meant to solo the smites. for most of the solo builds you are suppose to pull the graspings away from the aatxe so even if 1 aatxe follows you, you will end up dead.

You're not supposed to fight the aataxes, you just pull the grasping darkness's with your speed boost on so the aataxes go back to their patrols.

Ok thanks! I was going to ask whether or not I should be confronting the Aatxe, but figured it was a dumb question because the guide says to aggro the Grasping once they settle near the Aatxe; I just figured they meant to fight the Aatxe as well.

As you see you use your speed boost to aggro the graspings
and run back to aviod Aataxes.

You don't kill the attaxes, I personally cant think of any build for soloing aside from the permasin that acually can/do solo the ectocows

LOL.....i can solo aatxes with monk, necro and 130hp dervish.

EDIT: also a warrior can solo the aatxe !

first of all this video doesnt show the build the op was talking about, infact its a D/Me with no elite at all...
second of all it skips the whole run, which is what the op seems to be having trouble with...
third of all it is possible to kill the Aatxes, however when you search PvXwiki for farming builds make sure to check if the build you're looking at is able to solo them or not, if it does it will specifically say it in there...

well it's been answered that you don't kill the Aatxes. aggro the Graspings, pull them away from the Aataxe, and commence to killing them.

i tried that build you used and then came up with my own for Smite farming (Dervish only build). i have a full video here that you can use for reference (shows the full run).
