Default Dervish/Monk Skills

Just a quick, kinda of no-brainer question, but...

Would it be good to use Smiting skills like Reversal of Damage and Judge's Insight on yourself while playing a Dervish? You could have a monk cast them on you, but you don't always have a smiting monk around.

I know that people have probably thought about this before, but knowing that reversal is spammable and the extra energy wouldn't hurt from the enchantment ending. I just wanna know if it is really worth the attribute points and what-not. Thanks in advance!

generally earth prayer skills are similar to prots. shielding hands = armor of sanctity. guardian = mirage cloak. this allows you then to free your secondary, while having the more powerful aspects of prot prayers at your disposal. however playing with patient spirit and pious signet is always fun.

Nah, I wouldn't think it's worth it. Dervish get [Aura of Holy Might], which is much better than Judge's Insight, and wasting attribute points for Smiting would hurt more than help.

Oh god, I totally forgot about AoHM, I just have'nt used it much because I only have a lvl 5 alligence rank. I know it's not a really low rank, but I figured I could use another skill that benefits from attribute points. Thanks for the suggestions!

Hah, mine is only 3 and I still use it. It's a great skill, even at lower ranks.

this addressed zero of the op's topics.

AoHM even at low ranks drastically increases damage output. i can't remember the exact numbers, but if you just read the skill description, it makes it seem not-so-great but that's incorrect. i think it's listed on the wiki page. generally for PvE, if you want a damage enhancer stick with that. if it's for low end PvP it could be ok, but i prefer a conjure and elemental scythe.

not if you are casting them yourself. you can spread your attributes better than that.
