I'm looking for a pretty decent build to run assasins promise with as the current build I run doesnt really fit in well with it. Probably something to make use of the skill recharge or energy gain. I tried running a pure damage domination build with things like unnatural sig, energy burn and spiritual pain but I was hoping the more experienced mesmers might have something else thats better

I'd say if you're determined to run Assassins promise as your elite, I would go Illusion.

Why? Because constant degen is great damage. If you add a deep wound spike to the end of it via Phantom Pain or Accumilated Pain, then before they're finished throw on assassins promise you might have a start to the build you're trying to aquire.

Use Phantom Pain+Shatter Delusions for the spike, but you don't need more than 5 points in Illusion to make the deep wound stick long.
Sorry to go against you like that Pat, but I agree the deep wound spike is best for Assassin's Promise builds, but I feel it only requires around 5 points in Illusion.

what RF said, plus unnatural signet, spiritual pain, e-burn, and maybe backfire..
I run 16 dom, 10 Deadly arts, rest in fast casting..
