Good day everyone!

I'm Hanibal and I'm interested in joining Guildwars. I just have a simple questing. Which is the best character class best used for both farming or hunting for items? and why?

Any suggestion would be gladly accepted.

Assassin because you can basically be invunrable forever and they are used in all speed clears and you can adapt most farming builds for them, rits are good for farming, but they are not as able to run like assassins, rangers and warriors have a few good builds, and ele can be used to item farm but Yeah over all I'd go sin.
If you were wondering I actually use a warrior for farming and running but I love doing speed clears and warriors are fairly limited there, not like sins.

For solo farming: Ritualist can farm just about any time, anywhere, and with very little effort on your part.

For group oriented (end game usually) farming: an Assassin with Shadow Form has been dominant for years now.

For Farming with a group of 2: Monk and/or Ritualist using a 600 or 55 setup can still be quite effective, as long as your team-mate knows what they're doing.

is you're concern monies? if so, look to running or speed leveling also.
if not
builds and farming should be looked at from the point of ability and how fun is it for you.
material trader should be you're first stop. find out prices of things.
i can make a lot of monies other than shards or ecto's. although those items are the premier materials
farming fibers, feathers, granite, elit tomes, or making con sets can bring in alot of monies.watch the market place for ideas.

Just to add what others have said - farming is usually best done in hardmode tho a few farms are in normal mode.Hardmode gives better drops and better cash plus some setups are designed to work in hardmode only because of the way foes attack - hm they attack faster so for example a necro with spitefull spirit used on say a mob of 10 rangers , in normal mode it may take 2 casts of spiteful spirit due to low attack speed but in hardmode they attack faster and 1 cast of spiteful spirit would do the trick.

Sorry I am repeating, but Assassin's may not have huge variety in what build to use to farm with. Nonetheless, they also have the widest range of zones they can farm(ie UW, FoW, EotN dungeons) all of which are pretty easy to get involved with, especially if you find a guild. Good Luck!
