Default General Purpose Vanquishing?

I have a pretty flexible vanquishing set up. I have an assassin, Necro and Dervish all level 20 with a pretty good selection of heros.

The problem I'm running into is on the GwPvx wiki there doesn't seem to be anything other than specialized clearing builds.. such as domain of anguish and what not.

ATM I am looking for a build to clear arbor bay. Any suggestions?

You answered your own question. A robust vanquish build can handle it with little issue.

Nobody is going to make an Arbor Bay specific teambuild on gwpvx when most reasonable general pve builds suffice.

There was a post a long time ago, where someone took hero setup with completely bad builds (never used Jora with default skills and gear, monk with 1st 7 non-elite aplhabetical skills, player with empty bar and similar). And he still VQed Mount Quinkai. That was prove that anything can do VQ.

Making a specific team for VQs is like shelling nuts with a battle tank.

I hope it's understandable, I'm not English speaker and I'm not sure it's correct.

i remember having to try it twice back when you had to H/H. Most random 7 hero builds you find around here should be able to do all vq's with ease.

...I really hope you're joking there. It proves that almost everything can vanquish THAT area...it's a very easy one. This says nothing at all about the others, saying it does is just stupid.

On topic, like greenough just said, pretty much any decent build will work, besides that...it's really adapting to the problems you run into, and changing builds accordingly.

For general purpose VQ, try a minion bomber, 2 x Rt, 2 (or 3) x Mes and and mix'n'match a curses necro/smite hybrid monk/E/Mo or whatever floats your boat.

Mix depends on whether you are going caster or melee.

I just vq'd this. Here's what you can use:

You as assassin. Run a WotA build with save yourself and ashes scan
Hero 1: n/rt pain of disenchantment with enfeebling blood, mop and rit heals
Hero 2: mo/me roj and SoH with smiting skills and Mesmer e management
Hero 3: me/rt e surge 1 standard build
Hero 4: me/rt e surge 2 standard build
Hero 5: rt/any SOS standard build
Hero 6: rt/mo shield of absorption to ST rit bar
Hero 7: e/p invoke lightning with fallback and stand your ground

My heroes are all rune'd so the run was east but for some tips. The NW corner of the map there are lots of incubi popups. Pre-set ST spirits before mobs and gaps within mobs. Heavy enchant removal here. Consider panic hero if you want to be safer.

In SW of map there are lots of hexes with degen, movement/attack speed, and adrenaline shut out. Consider massive hex removals if you don't want to deal with it.

And just to note the drakes can be a pain when they all spike the melee player running up towards them. Pre cast the St spirits if you are smart

I agree that MQ is very easy VQ, but I haven't found any VQ in whole GW that would be hard, just long and boring ones.
If someone says a VQ is too hard, it's a bookah.

Hey, sorry for bring back up an old issue but I'm also having this problem. I have an assassin, warrior, dervish, monk, mesmer, ritualist and necromancer for PvE but I want to VQ on the character that can clear the fastest. I main necromancer and have cleared some areas but as a necromancer primary, it feels kind of sluggish. I've been using 3 discord, 3 mes, and 1 rit for awhile but I never get the speed I wanted it. I've been looking into the Markway/Physway posted by HigherMinion in the Heroes and AI subsection but it hasn't been updated in awhile. I guess this is stupid question because from what I've been reading in the Heroes subsection, melee PvE-ers have an easier time with speed VQing areas due to balling + RoJ so I guess I should use one of my melees for VQing?

The builds as they are posted are currently the optimal, but you can play around with the resto bar.
