Cool

My first character was a little Tyrian bun monkie called Lady Bubbazookie. I created her on my brothers account so I could run around in pre searing, and quickly fell in love with the gorgeous scenery and awesome atmosphere. I finished pre searing, and armed with bane signet and orison of healing I headed off towards the charr. Man, these guys were tough! The chase from the Great Northern Wall left me breathless, (after suceeding on the third time) and Ruins of Surmia seemed unconquerable until a friendly level 20 gave me some help.

I was totally, unashamedly bad.

I didn't know there were communities surrounding guild wars, that could give helpful advice about bars. (What, you mean my heal/prot/smite/divine favour/beast mastery bar is terrible? And running 3 major runes probably wasn't a good idea?) Over the next few months I stumbled my way through to ascension, where I just couldn't take that nasty doppelganger down with my ohsopro beastmaster/smite build. (Oh yes babee) I turned to google for help, assuming (naturally) that everyone else was bad like me, and could provide some assistance. The first page I found led me to guru, where I joined and immediately began to read as much as I could. "Boon prot? But how do I do damage?" "Healing breeze is bad? Surely not!" These questions were eye opening, as it slowly began to dawn on me. I was a... noob.

Even though I now have my own account, Lady Bubbazookie still holds a warm place in my heart as my introduction to this great game.

I started playing because a few friends did, but they didnt last very long in Guild Wars.

My first was a warrior named Mahangle Edge. (Ugly name, I know) He was born in Ascalon, He was always killing things in the tombs. He didnt know post existed so he got to about level 8 there until someone said "Why are you still here?!" He told me this is only 1/12 of the game. He told me where to go and I was then in the destroyed Ascalon. I asked around for help on some quests but no one helped me, until a fellow warrior came along. She was already level 20. She helped me with everything Quests, missions and even getting my new armour!
But shortly after I got to level 20 she left Guild Wars for World of Warcraft.

Thats really it, After I just continued playing. ^^

Anyways, Good luck everyone!

Hey!
My first char was my ranger High Bowmaster, made almost 3 years ago, he was the first born of my acc xD, came to the world of Tyria. Don't know why i have him that name tho, first random thing that came to my head xD. He's my most played char, i love the idea of a ranger and the easiness of playing one. He's been spoiled with some nice armor and weapons(most spoiled of all my chars).
I love to play different builds with him, tho its mostly 3 main types of bar .
He was the first to complete every campaign and get the first max title.
To this day, I continue to travel accross the oceans and visit far away lands, defeat new foes.
I am thankful that he hasn't died of age or deletion yet( if thats a word).
Thanx and Gl to everyone!

First ever char was my warrior kedde finubar.
I had my cousin make it for me as he'd been playing for months before I got the game and told me to create a warrior.
So I couldn't come up with a name. He decided to use one of his old friends nickname who died in a car accident in memory of him as our names were identical.
Played it through everything I believe and the name will be kept for gw2 as well.

My first char is my name sake, Kerwyn Nasilan.
Born a W/Mo (cause really who did not make a wammo) he made his way through pre doing most every quest and at level 6 went off to post, got some kickass ascalon armor and did the mishs to about lion's arch. There a guildie gave me a victos blade (which I used mending to cover the degen ) and a blue eternal shield with +21 health! With that and my new wyvern/dragon armor I was kick ass! I then got the amazing skill FINAL THRUST, Man I owned some undead! The jungle was a hard and maze like place, not that fun. The desert was also hard but beating my Doppelganger was a great feat. I pugged and got to droks where I sold my amazing rune of major vigor and got max platemail, IT WAS KICKASS, I then set my eyes on the incredible skill Hundred Blades!! I got to the final mission and beat teh lich, it was great cause I capped hundred blades. I then took him over to factiosn where I lost my victos blade to a scam (yeah pretty bad :/). I used a purple sword till I got a nice jade sword drop. Capped Dragon's Slash and relized its amazing kickass-ness and used it. Beat factions and between ten and NF I did a few FoW pugs, man those where fun, we usally dies near the forge but was really worth it, a shard was like 4k, you could do alot with that back then . After NF I had saved up enough to buy a set of elite armor, a kurzick/primeval/glad combo. was awesoem, somewhere between there and GW:EN I lost most of my newbish inocence, and tbh I never had that newbie sense of woder ever again (well for the first week of gwen was close). I wish I could revist those days

Legon Aragous (the first) was my first character ever in Guild Wars and in any other MMORPG. He was a warrior and I was a very confused player in a massive world of the unknown. I remember picking my secondary profession as a ele because of the nuking skill fire storm. I'd carry it with me every where and I thought I was a bad ass. People would always tell me, " Dude, you should just make a ele."

After a few months of playing, i created a guru account and looked up on warrior builds and skills. Before I knew it I started chest running (when it wasn't nerfed). I had a lot of fun chest running. I made a pretty penny and got a set of good weapons. Later I met this chick, zakya soulblade. She was really cool and we got along great. We became good friends and she gave me money to buy my first set of 15k armor. I felt even more like a bad ass.

Guild Wars started to bore me after around a year of playing. My friend was always interested in playing guild wars so I thought It'd be nice of my to let him play. I warned him to not touch my warrior, Legon, because I put so much into him and all the hard work would be gone.

A few months later I had the urge of playing guild wars again, I signed up into my account and surely enough my friend did mess with Legon... He deleted him. I was really upset. How can he do this? Apparently he was "bored". What friend he was... Forgive and forget I suppose.

I miss my first Legon, I had gone through a lot with him and now it was all gone. I didn't appreciate how much fun I had with him until writing this post.

Now, I've made another character, a ranger called Legon Aragous, and he is my main. I'm still kinda mad that I can't play with my warrior, but hey **** happens.

Heres a screeny of him that I still have in my photobucket.

Happy holidays.

My first character was a ranger named Tyberius the true, sadly he has since been deleted. I felt that he was the only character i ever had real fun with, and even after i learned that i didnt need to complete every quest in proph, i did them anyway.

Some of our milestones were capturing his first elite; Barrage, gettin him his first set of elite armor; Elite druid, and finally taming a black widow in UW.

I miss him, and the good ol' GW days...

my first character was a warrior....(i know..how typical).. i was a silly noob and made him really short because i thot it would make it a smaller target...
better yet, i was a w/e with starburst and aftershock. he had the good old Knights armor before insignias were invented... then i got a vamp q8 celestial sword! it was pretty intense but i hated the -1 degen so i went wammo with mending! However, this was a huge pain so i sold the sword which i may or may not regret because i forget the mods on it! After beating prophs i made a new character who is known as my monk who i have totally pimped out! now i use my warrior to farm minis!

Undead Priest, the best and the brightest of all Necromancers known to Guild Wars is my first character.

He has experienced everything in the game, from Pre Searing to Heros Ascent and has been my main focus in the game. From farming Sorrows Furnace upon release with 50 minions to smiting CoF. He really is the most amazing character. I remember the days of multi colored armor from Kryta being his main clothing of choice. Everything I have learned from Guild Wars has been learnt while using him. I think everyones first characters just mean a little bit more to them than other characters but never has a character kept me this entertained. He gives me the most options for anything I want to do and keeps me hooked on this game for hours on end.

This post is to show my love of my character, even confined to the realms of Guild Wars he is still the most special guy I know.

My very first character and the one who has gotten the bulk of my playing hours is my elementalist, Cassandra Covzer. I tried to make her in the image of Cynn, whom I fell in love with after one glance at the cover art. I remember I couldn't think of a name at the time of creation, so I started thinking about girls in my class. So Cassie was a friend of mine, and so I chose her name. Covzer I just kind of made up because I couldn't come up with a proper last name. Lo and behold, all is good now.

She spent a lot of time in pre-searing. I'm pretty sure she mapped all of it. She was a beast with fire magic and roasted charr all day. Moving on to post searing, more stuff burned and was blown away by meteor shower. Going through the story was no problem because most groups back in the day were "LF NUKERS," which she had no problem joining. Then, that one faithful day, came the AOE AI update.. Her usefulness dropped a bit, but she was still loved. To this day, she's the only one who I've bought elite armors for.

Hmm.. my first character. That would be my pre monk, Bucking Fuffalos. Hes been in pre searing for a long time and will stay there. For a long time i just gave up at leveling him once he got to 13, because i was to lazy to do more, after getting him full black armor and really nice pre weapons, but recently i have decided to try to level my oldest character up to lvl 20 in pre, because thats the only thing in PvE that interests me in the slightest atm.

Smile Perhaps, I will get some good items ...finally!

I started to play GW when my son gave me the game as a present in May 2005.
I had never played a MMORPG before and I was a bit scared, but I found the GW community so very nice.

My first character was a warrior/ranger because I liked the opportunity to have a pet as companions. I still do not know how I survived because my playing was horrendous, I did not know about armours and green items and I was playing with the noob armour for a very long time, before I realized I could get a better one, but I learned and kept going on.

Angelica, my warrior, tried so many times to kill the doppleganger ....... till I got on my first Guild and thanks to guildies help I finally did get past him and completed the game.
I will never delete her she was my first and loved one, the one that drove me almost crazy, and made me smashing the keyboard when she was in the jungle getting lost all the time!

Some people think that I'm weird because I'm playing online game at my age, but they do not know the fun they are missing!

By the way I'm a sixty two years old "Lady" and getting younger every day!

Happy Holidays!

My first character is still on my account, a Ranger by the name of Marla. She started her life with secondary of Elementalist because I wanted a pet and knew that Rangers handled them best, but I also wanted to lob spells at things.

From Ascalon to the Southern Shiverpeaks my Stalker, Kisa, joined me on my travels and my bar consisted of Charm + Comfort, a random prep, usually one that was terrible to the area: Poison when things couldn't be poisoned, Kindle when things were strong to fire damage. The rest of my bar was a mix of Fire, Air *and* Earth Magic (random memories of firestorm, meteor shower, whirlwind and stone daggers). I really don't know how I managed all of this, the energy needed for it and managed to kill anything. I should also point out that I did use a bow, not a staff.

The highlight of Bad-Marla's life though was doing Althea's Ashes with a low level guildie. We had just Alesia and Orion for company and they had DP'd out more times than I cared to count (we hadn't though). We were about to give up when I had an idea. Sneak up to the alter and drop Meteor Shower on them. Run away. Repeat.

Sure enough, the Charr all fell to my ranger's Meteor Shower save for one or two, but it was just enough to run up and grab the ashes. The quest that had sat on our quest log for three months was finally complete.

Thankfully I got better. A lot better. But man. They were some fun days and use these stories to tell new guildies that they will get better, and we all started off having no idea what the heck the pretty buttons do!

My very first character...

My first instinct is either my Assassin or my first monk (who has since been deleted), but after thinking for a few seconds, I realize these were all later.

My very first characters were created some 38 months ago, on a trial key I got from a friend of mine. I believe this was at the time that Factions was just coming out, although I can't say this for sure. After playing my two characters (Two ele's from Prophecies, one pre-searing, one post) for some time, I was bored with the profession. I switched to Factions, and made a new account. I didn't know you could add keys to your existing account at this time.

Thus, my ele's were sadly forgotten. Until a month or so ago. I picked up a copy of the GW Trilogy, for farming and storage purposes. I was thinking about which email I could use for this, when suddenly I remembered the password and email I had used over three years ago to create this trial account. I logged in, added the key and lo and behold, my two faithful ele's were still there! Both with 3 birthday presents sitting in their inventory, they had faithfully waited till the day I remembered my password and email, and added a new key.

With now a grand total of 20 hours spent on my very first character - an Ele/Mes who specced in Domination, Air, Energy Storage and fire magic (with no domination or air magic spells), I'm starting to remember. I remember thinking flare spam with Aura of Restoration was über damage, that Ether Feast (at 0 inspiration) was an epic heal. I remember dying time, time, and time again. Running in to, and using Lava Font on 'huge' groups. How impressed I was when someone ran me to Beacons Perch, past all those big, scary Charr who killed me all the time.

And, of course, I remember how I forgot about these characters. These fragments of my past, the product of my inner noob. How I moved on, started an assassin, and after dying each and every time I jumped in to a mob. Starting a monk, and failing at keeping anyone alive. Giving up on GW for several months, until an other friend dragged me back in to it, and finally, gradually getting better.

Good times, good times.

My first character was my Necromancer Garik Lescar, he is now a mule but at one time he was my one and only character I could never understand why people were saying 12 soul reaping was better than 12 fire magic, I mean flare and fire storm were so powerful As soon as I realised how to be a necromancer he became an MM and rampaged through prophecies and factions before I decided to try another proffesion So thats the story of my necromancer who now holds all my minipets

oh my first char mhmm he got delete a longgg time ago.

I started playing gw when faction came out, i made an assassin i had alot of fun with it(i was a total noob then) it took me long times to get to the mainland, i made alot of friends who helped me with missions.

Favorite part of the character: one day i was in tahnnakai temple(very hard for me in that time)i went into a pug and they only had 1 monk they told me that they needed another monk instead of me but i convinced them that i would monk (sin/mo rofl) the mission went smooth!! At the end the pugs said that i did a rlly great job at healing! Pugs aren't that bad (well somethimes tho)

-Thank You

First I want to thank you in advance for doing such giveaway in this xmas

My first character, I still keep it is my necromancer Rage of necrosh (dumby name ).
the first day,I created him like really fast, so I missed up some details, when I just got guildwars factions (not the greatest campaign to start ) when I was in the tutorial, I just went to shing jea... so I didn't learn really the basics of the game... then, there in shing jea, I took the necromancer quest and just followed up the way to the exit... there I was completely alone, and I spent all my attributes in soul reaping because I thought it was better to have a lot of energy, as "I was going to kill a lot of things", but when I encountered 2 mantids I wasn't able to kill them, using only a wand doesn't helps much. I stopped playing like for 2 days, and one of my friends came to my house, he saw the guild wars box and he told me to show him the game.

oh well, with a nooby accound and nothing interesting to do, I told him "why dont you buy the game? so maybe we can play together and do something interesting".

he liked the idea, and he bought factions, he created a ranger (his IGN is Nuy Gash)and I told him to do the tutorial because I didn't learn anything there and I was really confused, hehe I was in his house, the tutorial DID help us. then back on shing jea, there was a festival, we were Woow how cool, but we didnt know how to participate, so we lost the dragon mask

okay, there in shing jea monastery, we took all the quests including the one of the henchmen, we were really happy because we had a party of 4(with no monk T_T)
we did our different quests thogether(in some we got 60% penalty and just tried and tried XD) we did learn a lot during that time, and finally started to include the monks in our parties.

I hope you like my story

i shared an account with my (now ex) bf during beta, and my first character was a Me/R - Puddles McGee.
being newbtastic, i charmed a melandru's stalker and ran around with a bow, shooting arrows at everything in sight. i remember constantly getting trapped against buildings outside ashford abbey because my pet would glitch into a box or something nearby XD i thought power shot was the most awesome thing in the world and used it religiously. looking back, i wouldn't be surprised if i had put 0 attribute points into marksmanship at the time. those were the days, weren't they? *thoughtful sigh*
after release, i got my own account and had to give up my dear Puddles to be vengefully deleted by my ex :'(
she lives on in my current mesmer, Lydia Delgado, who can be seen on cold nights very much like this one, running into the distance with her pet spider, longbow in hand.
the end.
