I am a civil engineering student at UBC. Now that exams have passed I am planning to dedicate all my time back to Guild Wars. I've been reading through all the other posts to see what other people what been saying. Some of what they have been saying is ridiculous with all this false sincerity. Meet them any other time in-game and their personalities turn around. I am not ashamed to admit that, like other people here, we are on this section because we are greedy. Now that I have returned to GW I plan to dedicate my time fully until school starts up. I am asking for 30e or zaishen keys so I can level up my pvp statue. The reason is because I plan to do big things when GW2 hits. And I don't forget favors.

Hi, I am a player of 6 years with 2-3 long breaks. I have been getting back into GW to finish GWAMM on my warrior (first char I ever made). Because I am trying to get GWAMM, my time goes into VQing and other titles. One title that I need help finishing is the Sweets I am currently at 7.5k sweet and have ran out of funds. I've been too busy VQing so I don't have time to farm the extra money to finish the title. If I could have about 30e (5 stacks of bunnies at 9e each [ I think I will be able to farm up the last 15e]) I will be able to finish my last consumable title on my warrior Friendly Killers. Thank you.

Hey, I have been playing GW on and off for years now, but was never heavily invested in the economy aspect. I mainly completed the campaigns and played some RA.

Anyway, I have come back like many others to expand my HoM unlocks. I am currently at 15/50, but if I could get enough for Vabian armor x1 (no idea how many ectos that would be) or at least enough for a tormented weapon x1 then that will give me 3 or 2 (respectively) integral points towards the 25/50 unlock (my current goal).

Playing much less that I used to, but anything you could spare would be awesome for me to spread among my guildies that are still not 30/50. I help the out a fair bit, but with prices how they are I can't do much. Any help you can give would be awesome.

Hello Luke, nice to see that there are people like you helping others.
Just like most of the others, I have also been trying to get 30/50 to get all possible items (especially the pets since my main has always been a ranger) and right now i have 20, and fervently grinding reputations in EotN. My main concerns are elite kurzick armor, destroyer/tormented and 20 pets. Of course, i will grind for amber but being guildless and no friend doesn't really help. So if you can, please can you give me about 25 ectos?

Hey, I'm smurf and i have been working on my HoM for quite a while now. I made it to Gwamm now and i wanne fill up with mini pets and weapons. I only need one more armor tough. So to say it plain simple - i need ecto/cash to fill up my hom with destroyer and/or tormented weapons.

Hello

I've been playing Guild Wars for nearly 6 years and during that time I've acquired some really great memories. Sadly, as the years went on, my play time dropped as I became busier due to real life priorities. Still, I would log in every now and then and just enjoy the atmosphere of the game and reminisce over the vast amount of hours I piled into it, almost a little sad that I stopped.

About two and a half years ago I got hacked and lost it all, which really dampened my spirits and quite honestly I wasn't looking forward to having to re-do all that I had done, and never really took the Hall of Monuments seriously, figuring I'd have plenty of time to do it later.

I've got multiple characters scattered across the three continents, just hanging out wherever I've left them, and there's really only two things on my Guild Wars wish list that I'm attempting to accomplish:

- Obtain the "Legendary Defender of Ascalon" title - This has been my most wished for title ever since I first learned about it and this is what I'm currently working towards, slowly (Level 11 as of now)

- Buy a set of Elite Kurzick Armour - I've always wanted an Elite set of armour (I've never been rich in-game) and this particular set is one of my two favourites (the other being the Elite Luxon set) for a Monk. I kind of wanted this to be my big reward for finally achieving Legendary Defender of Ascalon, but the prospect of trying to get that amount of gold as well as finish this title in a month is rather daunting.

If you're wondering a month - well, in a month's time I face the prospect of being placed in Hospital for an extended period of time and I guess I'd like to know that I finally did something of value in my favourite video game before I have to devote everything to my health.

Bit of a weird story, I guess.

If you .. do decide to aid me, I would probably need about 122,000 gold (Wow that's.. a lot) which would be about 17-18 Globs of Ectoplasm, I think? :S

It's a lot to ask, I know, but I guess.. even a small amount would help me out so very much

Hey what's up. I really think this is an awesome thing you're doing, it's really inspiring.

My name is Ben, I've been playing Guild Wars since 2005 or so, and I have seriously loved every minute of it. Not a log-in goes by where I'm not amazed by something anet has slipped in. I'm especially fascinated by the lore and the character development. It may not be the best writing, but it's a heck of a story. My whole GW tenure I've been a super casual player, helping guildmates, making some friends, that kind of thing. What I mostly played GW for was to hang out with my real life friends when we were apart. Those memories have really made GW special to me.

Am I sappy for thinking a game is special to me? I don't think so. This game really does mean a lot to me. And playing this past GW2 beta weekend really inspired me, I think anet does a great job, makes great games, and I will continue to support them.

One way I support them is by working on my HoM off and on, so I can have something in GW2 to really show my prolonged support to GW. I don't have much, but everything in there is stuff I've earned myself. I don't farm much, I don't really do much of anything but get immersed and enjoy the game.

Now the reality. The reality of the game is that everything is really expensive now! I see some of these people trading literally hundreds of armbraces for items, and I can't help but think if I had just one armbrace I would be set for everything I ever want to accomplish in GW. I work on my HoM not because I like the titles, but because I want something to remind ME of GW1 when I'm playing GW2. So I can remember the magic. If you could spare 10 or 15 ectos or so, I wouldn't ever have to worry about how I'm going to get there. It would really mean a lot. Part of why I'm so excited about GW2 is because of how casual it can be - just like how I play. I can log on, look around, fill out a heart or reach a map point, and log off. And with real life how it is, a little twenty minute break like that makes a lot of difference in a day. And that's how we get through life - day by day.

So anyway, that's my story. My IGN is Green Tambourine, and I log on a lot lately because I'm working really hard on my stuff, and 10 or 15 globs of ecto would make a world of difference. I would be able to finish off my Kurzick armor (I love the kurzicks, been obsessed since day one of factions), maybe get some more heroes in my devotion monument, you know, that kind of stuff. I'm not interested in the grind titles because that's not what the game is to me. Also, I'm really interested in your book. I fancy myself a scholar, and I enjoy learning a little bit about a lot of things. PM me!

About Me in GW:

So I have been playing GW on and off for about 5-6 years. Sadly I have never gottenthe hang of the guild wars economy or the farming. Just recently I began some speed clears but I am not having much success. My goal throughout all of my time on guild wars has been to somehow acquire either a tormented shield or chaos gloves. With GW2 around the corner, prices are skyrocketing due to desire for HoM. Personally I do all I can to help my guildmates achieve their individual goals for the HoM.

My Request:

So now comes the part I am sort of shameful about, I really do not enjoy begging for items and I am a firm believer of the old saying "Beggars can't be choosers". Above I mentioned my long time goals within the world of guild wars. The shield is currently costing around 30e(Price of Armbrace) and the chaos gloves cost 75e. These are simply my goals, I do not want to specifically ask for a certain amount of money or ectos because then I will feel a bit demanding. I will take anything that you are willing to give to me.

Dear Luke,

I'm looking for about 30 or 35e to help complete my HoM. I help take care of my grandparents so I don't have a lot of time to play, which means no time for farming or the like. I'ts taken me literally since they started doing rewards just to get to 15 points. Most of the points I can get on my own but I'd really like to get some of the easier ones fast before GW2 comes out.

Here's What I Will Spend It On

Elite Kurzic Armor
One other armor (hopefully Vabian)
Oppressor Weapon
Destroyer Weapon
Green Mini

If you happen to just have either of the weapons or the mini I'd gladly take those in place of the ectos they would have cost.

Hey Luke,

Guild wars was my first mmo style game. Ive played it off and on since its release. For some reason i never completed any of the games entirely. I waa happy just running people irexploring the map. Now im hoping to beat all the games to learn the lore, and to get 30 points in my hom before gw2. I have done my research and have my heroes set up to get through nm and hopefully hm content. However, i dont have any gold to gear myself or my heroes.

10 to 15 ecto would at least get my heroes and myself runed and might even get me a weapon for them. Once my team has gear ill be able to get through the content finally and get 30 hom points on my own from there.

Hi Luke,

First off, I want to say thank you for being so generous. Regardless of whether I am chosen or not, I am sure everyone who you have helped is very appreciative. I started playing Guild Wars in 2005; I quit shortly after Factions came out due to both time restraints and lost in interest. Guild Wars was my first introduction into the “mmo” genre and I introduced it to quite a few friends and family. Back when it was only Prophecies I was able to capture every single elite between my three characters, quite the accomplishment for me back then. I remember the days of “Sissy Boys” (guild) and when IWAY was the flavor of the month. I create teams for Hero Ascent and got close to winning a few times, when I finally was able to get the deer it seemed like I was just one rank away from getting into teams.

I have decided to try and get 30/50 by the time GW2 is out and maybe if time permits 50/50. I am slowly working on my way there, but as with getting older it seems that I have less time than ever to accomplish this goal. My job requires me to travel quite a bit and hotel internet is not the greatest thing. I also have RL responsibilities now that I am older and so it is eating into a lot of what I can do currently in game. Beside all of that I am also training for a 120 bicycle ride to raise awareness for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (I haven’t ridden a bike since I was 6!) (If anyone wants to donate, PM me and I will send you the link to my donation page =)).

I would like to get 30e to purchase 1 tormentor weapon. That seems like the thing that is most out of reach for me (minus the Obby Armor, which is crazy in itself). If you think that is too much I will take any amount toward the purchase of a tormentor weapon as I am working my way there.

Once again, thank you for all of your help toward everyone. Regardless of me getting anything, it is really quite charitable of you. Finally, I realize I have a low post count; I have always been a bit of lurker here. Please check my join date for more verification.

Hey! My name is Goran and I've been playing GW for more than 6years now. I started title hunting 2 years ago and last year I finnaly managed to achieve Gwamm. THing is, I never liked farming money or doing speed clears, hence why I never made assassin because I feel its not enjoyable to get wealth that way. So while doing all the titles, I managed to gather money for Oby armor and few other cheaper HoM things. Last year I started going on college which left me with barely any time to play, and only thing I did was max my drunkar, sweet, and party titles on which I spent all my money. So right now, while hoping that gw2 will be out before college starts again, only thing I miss in HoM are weapons. I came back after a brake and suddenly all prices went skyhigh! I have few destroyers and oppresor weapons that I managed to farm, but as I did DoA once in my lifetime, I never managed to get my hands on Tormented weapon! Particulary prot staff for my main monk! So I beg you help me out in finishing my HoM and GW adventure by donating at least 30e or 1 armbrace! Think I forgot to add why I deserve this, well, for one I always came back to Guild Wars after anything else I played. This game gave me opportunity to meet some really awesome people and become friends with them and in return I d like to honor it with 50/50 HoM so I will be able to say that I did it all once gw2 comes out! Hello! I'm Magnus, a long-time fan of GW1, though I've never really played much of it lately. Once I heard that Guild Wars 2 was coming out, I figured I'd take a closer look at my old account; get acquainted with the lore, visit some of the scenic locales to see how they'd change in GW2, and (admittedly) to farm HoM points.

This, however, left me in a bit of a bind; as farming cash in GW1 is... not easy, especially for a new player. I make a modest means, to say the least, but I often find myself very short of cash for the things that matter most.

To answer the three questions that you require, there's one thing I'll say:

1. My goal is to achieve 25 (or 30, if GW2 takes quite a while to release) points in the Hall of Monuments, and I'm already nearly to my goal; but as I've plucked all the 'low hanging fruit', I have to scrounge up every point I can. Mostly, I need the money to be able to afford Elite Luxon armor, a Destroyer weapon, and possibly start building up materials to get Vabbian armour (though that is... yeah, obscenely expensive!)

2. To achieve my Elite Luxon goal, I'd be quite thankful for about 50k; or whatever amount above or below you'd be willing to give! (To be honest, to get the full set from the materials I've collected would require closer to 100k, but... I see all these other fellows here, and I don't want to suck the well dry, you know?)

3. Anything else to say? Well; I suppose I'd like to thank you for even doing this. Even if you don't give me anything, it's a nice thing you're doing, and it gives hope to us new-people that we can get what we desire if we put in the effort. I'm just thankful for even considering, and if you can help me get to my 25 points... I'd be forever grateful (and be able to pass that forward to my friends, who are here with me in the GW1 grind).

so I'm a 28 years old guy working for an IT Company. I live in Spain, quite far away from my family and miss them a lot.
I've been playing GW for almost 7 years and really love it. During these years I've stopped and deleted the account many times, but at the end I always come back

. I'm playing with this account since march and haven't had many time and chance to make money. I'm a paragon lover and really would like to improve that character. I also love Echovald Forest and all object related to that, so I would need money to make my collection.

GW has been for me like a secure place to escape after the hard days of work and have very good memories about time spent with friends on GW.

So, if you want I would need about 40-50 ectos to finish that collection and bring further my paragon!
