The material trader in Nebo Terace can make one with 10 planks of wood. That may be a stop in a fire imps/ettins farming run. However, check it coasts 200g per piece, so check the trader price first: yesterday it was 210g @ trader.

the boulder guys around Ascalon drop them too

the "boulder guys" actually drop granite slabs.. I dont think they drop charcoal...

also, sometimes you can exp salvage a glowing heart(sropped by imps aswell) into charcoal

Titan Claws expert salvage into Charcoal. I assume Titans are the "boulder guys" you're talking about...

The best source is probably killing Inferno Imps outside of Lions Arch. The can often drop 2 at once.

i went outside lions and killed a fire imp on accdient and it droped 1 Charcoal
