2 More charts:

2 Dye Mixes on Ele 15k Aeromancer Armor(M)

2 Dye Mixes on Ranger 15k Druids(F)

They should be on the first page soon.

I will try to get to the -50 Grim Cesta, but I really want to finish the last dozen+ armors before factions comes out.

If you would like, you can do like cherno has been and buy the dyes(8 of each) and I will come mix them, take the screen shots, and them into a chart. But I have to save my gold for the last of the armors.

another question, on like the basic armors, for instance mesmer enchanters, to get black, do you just dye it with 1 black dye? or do you ahve to mix it with something else to overcome the previous green color?

Black is a really strong color, so one Black Dye should be enough to overcome the base color of the armor.

would S+S+S+Y be different to Y+S+S+S?

And can I confirm that I get a different colour to either of the above if I first mix Y+S then separately mix S+S, then put two together subsequently.

Sorry if noob questions, I just want to be sure before i fork out a load of cash.

Don't mix identical colors.

You have to mix Y + S, THEN mix your results with another S. Other than that hard rule, you can mix dyes in any order.

Johnactor-

this has been touched on, no they would be the same because, as was said, you would have to do S+Y or Y+S first

I think that if you mix S+S and then add the other two to create YSSS, it would work out the same as if you started with Y+S. It's just that most people have their silvers all in one stack (and you can't mix two dyes when they're in the same stack together).

Interesting, why have I read on the mesmer armour thread people doing YSSS rather than YSS? It seems from your responses that the last S would not make a difference. Or I'm completely misunderstanding.

Every Dye you add will make a difference, even if its just a very subtle one. And the more of Dyes you add the less each color sticks out. So with just 2 Silver the Yellow will be more noticable, thus people use 3 Silver.

look at the first couple pages and you can see the dye percantages when mixing.
Y+S= 50% yellow, 50% silver
Y+S+S= 33% yellow, 66% silver
Y+S+S+S= 25% yellow, 75% silver
and so on and so forth

Mixing Silver and Silver makes Silver. Therefore, it is unwise and pointless to mix two Dyes of the same color. In order to make the YSSS color/shade, you must first mix a Yellow and a Silver (in either possible order), then add the subsequent Silver dyes to the mix.

I do believe this has been discussed at least once, if not thrice, over the course of this thread.
