well i ahve been trying to dye my mesmers armor light pink as has some others in this forum. ive tried many dye mixes and to no avail i still seem to get a reddish or purplish color. ive tried the mixes: Red+Silver+Silver = a pink non the less but looks very washed out and bleached, Red+Silver = came out a sort of `rosy` color which is the closest ive gotten tot he color i want, Red+Purple = a reddish purple, Red+Purple+Purple = too purple, Red+Purple+Silver = a lighter purple, Red+Purple+Silver+Silver = another lighter version of purple, Red+Dye remover = a light brownish color, Red+Purple+purple+Silver = looked alot like the Red+Purple+Silver dye mix. After all of these attempts to get the light/soft pink i wanted(the color Mixu had for her skirt) i was wondering if there was some dye mixture that would actually work on mesmers armor taht would acutally turn it the right pink.

It depends what armor she's trying to turn white. There's no white dye, so white is quite hard, though, the silver dye gets close on some armors. Try experimenting yourself a little bit, or be more specific on what armor she's trying to dye, maybe someone else tried the same thing and got up with a way to dye it white.

good job on that chart but im still lookin for some way of making a good white, i mixed yellow+silver+silver+silver and i still got a silver color

I have a female warrior with 15k glad's armor that is pink, there are two combo's that will work, the latter has a more purple tint to it but is very similiar

Red + Purple then apply to armor

Dye Remover applied to purple dye then apply to armor

I have hot pink on my Elementalist. I just did red+purple (applied the purple to the red i think... not that it matters). Didnt bother with dye remover on the armour either. Warrior armour might dye differently since it's metal.

Maybe its a super domass question, but euhm.. How do you mix two of the same colours??

I've been messing with dye combinations off and on.. well.. basically since the game's come out. Even with the nifty little diagram at the top of the thread (which, incidentally, seems.. not right?) I've never been able to hit the combo I want: a nice, bright/solid orange. Is this because the default is red (i.e. flesh-tone scars) and so I'll -never- be able to get what I want? I can get super-bright of basically everything EXCEPT that, it's.. horribly frustrating! ;__;

I too am trying to achieve a nice pink for my mesmer. The best colour I have come accross in my mixing sessions so far is purple-blue-purple, which gives a colour not quite purple and not quite blue.

yes i hope i dont ruin anyon'es business by telling:

3 silvers added all to 1 dye remover

(tried 1 and it was just a lighter silver)

All 3 to one dye remover is a pure white

The link towards the bottom of the first post is more complete than the chart in that link(that website doesn't like, so I can't replace the chart that is there).

Unless you are talking about the one with a few of the 4 Dye mixes.

But either way since the armor affects the color, having the pic of the vial is kind of useless.

I'm new to guild wars as of last Friday. So this is a super noob question.

When you mix two dyes, do you end up with just one of the new color? Or two of the new color?

As in... if i have a red and a yellow and i mix them, do they turn into just one orange, or do you have two oranges?

Seems realistic to have two... as in you have two bottles, slosh them back and forth. then still have two bottles with mixed colors.

When you mix Dyes you only get on bottle from it.

If you want Black you will have to buy a vial of Black Dye, there is no way of making Black.

Edit: Started working on the 2 Dye mixes on all the Armors. Here is the first set.

I have a normal Y+S gold on my armor Glad which is a nice gold color.

But i have a Darker Gold more like 24K gold a darker verion on my breast piece some one gave me Free but never told me the formula

Its nothing like (Y+S) (o+S) =gold this gold i more pinkish in gold color(dont like)

ANy one now how to make the gold i want ??
