Someone pointed out a shield, and with a little research- I yielded this-

http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Bandit_Raid

If anyone needs a shield with 14 armor against charr, and a nifty health bonus, make an alternate character in your PvP slot, do that quest, and then have someone help you swap it.

OK to help u out on the vamp item thing;

1.) An update way back when made it so that vamp items only spawn on gold items. Since there are no gold items in pre the only vamp items in pre are those from before the update.

2.) The inherent dmg mods on weapons are typically the ones u see as +% dmg when u meet a certain condition like over 50% health and what not. There is also (very rare) a dmg mod that gives u %dmg bonus but gives u -1 health like a vamp item. I have seen dual life leeching mod items in pre from players who death lvl alot.

lol i was thinking of the same thing today, just have a forum for people playing in pre-searing. I dont see why it would be such a bad idea, I mean people think pre-seaing is boring and there is nothing new to it, but put a forum up and I bet there would be some pretty interesting topics on it.

Well, the person I've seen with a vamp weapon had found it themselves. But I'm sure there are also several who have one's from post.

I have seen 1 person with a blue vamp axe in pre, it had a low dmg output but still had the -1 hp regen. I trust that person and 99.9% would say that they never cheat.

Like god apprentice said, they are rare.

The vamp mod used to drop on blue-gold items but no more in pre.
(some had salvage kits they used to salvage vamp strings i am sure)

The -1 H-regen dmg mod can be found on any blue item but they (like god apprentice said) are so obscenely rare. I have never had one drop ever ever ever
So buying alot of blues realy doesnt do u any good.

I have some questions...

In the northlands, when we take the "Across the Wall" quest, isn't it more economic in terms of time (and money, to eventually pay someone to open u the gate), to clear all the area of charr instead of just killing those groups? Cause that way you will not have to go to Ascalon again and wait hours for a nice person to open the gate for u, u just remain in the northlands and clear all of it, there are plenty more charr than those two groups there.

And the other question... why do we take the "Across the Wall" quest? Can't we go to the northlands if we don't have it? Or is it because the spawns are diferent?

Thanks

"**more coming"

that is what it says after those pictures. those are not all that you kill, you will go onto killing the bosses and a little further but i have found the most "economic" way to do this. also after you do it if you sell most of you have found you should have enough gold to pay someone 50gold to open gate and leave, much faster and will take 2 or 3 spams to find this person.

Default Nice Guide

Im glad you guys have put this guide up. I have always thought it would be really cool to have a lvl20 char in pre ever since I had actually heard the rumors that a few existed. I just didn't have clue how to do it. Now that I do, I'm in. And it not for the title for me. I just want a 20 in pre so I can brag to my guildmates lol. Eff teh Title.

I have a question about the following screenshot:

Now clearly it shows you are a Mesmer using some Ranger skills. Now I have a Mesmer which has 4 skills + 3 Ranger skill... which thus equals 7 skills in my bar.

However the above screenshot shows that you have 5 Mesmer skills, can you explain how it is you have 5?

Because I don't see how that is possible?

I believe the first quest you get from the mesmer out of Ascalon gives you Empathy and Ether feast for "Mesmer's Test". Althea then can give you Conjure Phantasm and Imagined Burden for doing the quest that kills the rogue bull, and then in Foibles Fair Vassar will give you Backfire, and Shatter Delusions for doing that quest to kill the riverskale brood(s). So you can get 6 mesmer skills as a main prof mesmer.

Err I think you just have to accept taking quest to get the skills from Althea and Vassar, don't have to actually do it and accept xp. I think you should make room on skill bar before talking to them though. I "think".

Ah that explains it, I'll go to the Fair later and get them two extra Mesmer skills then, thanks

I suggest the guide be updated further to make that clear.
