Yes, thread necromancy at work here.
Playing with Windows7 (ya beta)and of course I have installed GW to mess with it. I noticed that the shortcut it auto created in the Guild Wars folder has the switch -mce
"-mce
Unknown Switch
If your running Windows Media Center Editon, with this switch, Media Center (program) launches after guildwars exits
Usage: "C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe" -mce"
I have logged in and it appeared ok at first but I shut down and started running -image.
I installed from the website here at work just today(I'm IT and have a couple machines to testbed W7 for shits&giggles) and not from a CD, which may have some effect. I might try a disc install on one of my extra PC's at home tonight to see if there is any difference.
Also, fwiw, nothing opened automatically after closing GW the first time but, this is the beta W7 Ultimate edition instead of XP MCE which the switch appears to be related too.
W7 isn't slated to go live/retail for another year but I thought I would share. I have made another shortcut without the switch and will mess with both of them on Monday most likely.
*edit*
It would appear that Windows 7 includes Media Center(the program) so I assume that is why it added the switch. I haven't seen it actually open Media Center after closing the GW client yet.

I absolutely love the -image switch.
I hate heading out with a group and having to load 1000+ files before being able to play.
Thanks!

Can't you find this in Wiki? I remember finding a post similar to this before, not sure though. Has anyone else seen this before, or am I just crazy?

Be sure when you type the -image, you allow a space after the final "

I'm not sure about this but I think -perf has to be the first command for it to show.. just throwing that out there.

At the time I did this thread, I did not see it on wiki.
Also since I'm starting to play GW steady again, I will be updating my threads.
It originally started out with a list, plus other commands people have found, latter I started to use hex editor (software) and read the current switches directly from the guildwars exe.

How to create an autologin for GW.
------------------------------------------
Here is how to do it for a single account. Make sure that your email is saved in the GW client:
1) Locate your Guild Wars installation folder via My Computer. Usually located at C:\Program Files\Guild Wars.
2) In this folder, right click on GW.exe.
3) Select 'Create Shortcut'.
4) Select the newly created shortcut. Drag it to your desktop.
5) Right-click on the shortcut, and select 'Properties'.
6) In the box next to 'Target', place the following, where the x letter represents your password:
"C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe" -password xxxxxx
7) Hit Ok.
Voila.
Note: There are some extra options in shortcut properties you can use, like Comment, etc. Normally the only other one I mess with is the options in the 'Run' drop-down box. I set mine to Maximize. You can also assign a Windows Shortcut to start Guild Wars using a Windowkey + X (Windowkey is the key between the left ctrl and left alt keys on standard US keyboards. X represents a letter, etc of your choosing that isn't already in system use).

I was actually going to take the hex editor, and look for new / removed switches and update the guide.
I *think* if you use the save password option, it memorizes both the e-mail address and the account, and use the password switch.

There is a new switch
-characer
See attached screenshot (on the right panel).
Will do a re-write of the guide within next day or so.
(Edit) Did a quick update of the guide.
Can't get the last name of the character to auto fill in
Example -
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars\Gw.exe" -character=FirstName LastName
will ONLY fill in "FirstName"
Tried -character=FirstName=Last Name (Result) FirstNameLastName (no space)

does it work using -character "character name" like it shows on the wiki?
can't try it myself because I use GWML and had the same problem which I assumed was caused by GWML putting all of the commands in quotes already, but perhaps I assumed wrong and the -character command isn't working properly.
Regardless, you can still set up a working auto login shortcut using -password and click the box on the login screen.

It can combine with user/password switches... however....
I tried it with -character="First Last" but it did not work, I keep getting where it drops the last name, or removes the space between the first/last name and comes out "Firstlast"

I totally forgot i answered my own question just after the -character update and it does indeed work like stated on the wiki, My shortcut's are currently like this below.
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars\Gw.exe" [email protected] -password=mypassword -character "Firstname Lastname"
Note: there is no = after -character
Hope that helps

Verified switches, no new ones.
Fixed an error in quick list.
Added Hexedit link and brief instructions on how to see the switches in the exe.
