Smile Guide to getting your Imperial Weapon for HoM (unconfirmed yet)

This guide is based on the assumption that Imperial Weapons:
-will require Imperial Commendations to be acquired
-will consume exactly 15 Imperial Commendations per weapon

Otherwise it’s just a guide to getting 15 Imperial Commendations = 3 Superior Salvage Kits = 6k ^^

This guide shows (IMO, so appreciate all improvement suggestions) the quickest route to get 15 Imperial Commendations under approx. 20-30 minutes by doing quests based in Kaineng City area, entirely skipping the WoC quests chain. It is designed to encounter the least possible number of enemies and to do the easiest of the quests that award Imperial Commendations.

To start it off you will have to:
-have access to these outposts: Kaineng Center, The Marketplace, Nahpui Quarter, Senji’s Corner and Maatu Keep
-have completed Tahnakai Temple Mission
-remove Chasing Zenmai quest from your Quest Log

The route:

1. In Kaineng Center talk to:
-Barkeep Mehoro and accept quest: The Drunken Master
-Xunlai Agent Honlo and accept quest: The Xunlai Agent
-Imperial Guardsman Kintae and accept quests: Feed the Hungry and The Afflicted Guard
-Guardsman Ping and accept quest: Eliminate the Am Fah

2. From Kaineng Center exit into Raisu Pavilion and talk to:
-Emperor's Hand and accept quest: Captured

3. Map travel to Nahpui Quarter outpost, exit into Wajjun Bazaar, follow the map:

And talk to:
-#1 Kaya and accept quest: Little Lost Bear
-#2 Qian and accept quest: An End to Suffering
-#3 Paomu and accept quest: Problem Salving
-#4 Guardsman Pah and accept quest: Medical Emergency

4. Map travel to The Marketplace and exit into Wajjun Bazaar and follow the map:

#1. Talk to Saito and accept quest: Assassination Attempt
#2. Talk to Officer Chitaro, turn in quest: Medical Emergency, trigger objective for quest: Problem Salving and accept quest: Imperial Assistance
#3. Grab an Old Chest
#4. Talk to Guardsman Pah and trigger objective for quest: Problem Salving
#5. Kill Ratsu that will spawn here
#6. Talk to Guard Rantoh and trigger objective for quest: Imperial Assistance
#7. Talk to Kaya and turn in quest: Little Lost Bear
#8. Go back to #4 and turn in quest: Imperial Assistance
#9. Backtrack to #1 and turn in quest: Assassination Attempt
#10. Talk to Budo and trigger objective for quest: Problem Salving
#11. Kill all Am Fah here to complete objective for quest: Captured

5. Map travel to The Marketplace and exit into Bukdek Byway and follow the map:

#1. Wait until the end of the dialog between Sunzu and Nakai and wait till Sunzu walks to #2. Then talk to Nakai and accept quest: Too High a Price
#2. Talk to Sunzu, then Mitah and then to Sunzu again. Kill Sunzu. Return to #1 to turn in quest: Too High a Price
#3. Kill Chung, the Attuned and the Am Fah to complete objective for: Eliminate the Am Fah. Then pick up Storage Chest to complete objective for: The Xunlai Agent
#4. Talk to Aiko and get ready for a fight, since initially friendly Jade Brotherhood will turn hostile once you take the quest: Missing Daughter from her.
#5. Trigger a chat between the Imperial Chef Yileng and some peasants and kill two groups of Afflicted that will come from the south through the bridge to complete objectives for: Feed the Hungry
#6. Kill Drinkmaster Tahnu to complete objective for: The Drunken Master
#7. Talk to Taojo and turn in quest: Missing Daughter
#8. Kill the Afflicted Guardsman Chun to complete objective for: The Afflicted Guard

6. Map travel to Senji’s Corner and exit to Xaquang Skyway and follow the map:

#1. Kill Tukan to complete objective for An End to Suffering

7. Map travel to Maatu Keep, talk to Attendant Yoko and accept quest: Stemming the Tide. Exit into Pongmei Valley and talk to the peasants nearby. Return to Maatu Keep and turn in quest reward.

8. Map travel to Nahpui Quarter outpost, exit into Wajjun Bazaar, follow the map:

#2. Talk to Paomu and turn in quest: Problem Solving
#3. Talk to Qian and turn in quest: An End to Suffering

9. Map travel to Kaineng Center and turn in all completed quests there. Also zone to Raisu Pavilion to turn in: Captured.

If you failed to complete one of the quests and your character has Access to Vizunah Square (Local), you can alternatively complete quest: The Shadow Blades, given by Guildmaster Luan in Kaineng Center for an easy Imperial Commendation. You can also complete quest Going Home, given by Bryan in Bukdek Byway or Eliminate the Jade Brotherhood given by Guardsman Chienpo in Kaineng Center.
It is recommended to take one hero with both Incoming! and Fall Back! (manually triggering them one after the other is better since heroes tend to stack both skills).
The whole quest chain should take less than 20-30 minutes to complete if done properly.
I ran AP caller with running skill and: 3 Discord Necros, Ineptitude Mes, Panic Mes, ST Rit, Incoming Para.

It's a nice guide if your presumptions are correct about needing 15 Imperial Commendations for the weapons.

I think Ministerial Commendations are more likely, to be honest.

It would be mind-bogglingly dumb of a-net to make them imperial commendations. There's such a huge number of easy, early-game quests that give them that one could farm them with ease by simply creating new characters.

I agree, they're way to easy to farm. Create a Nightfall character, ferry to Kaineng, get full hench party and just run all the quests. Ministerial Commendations sounds much more likely.

I am with most of the others here. I think it is unlikely that imperial weapons will be traded for imperial commendations, as they were implemented in the game (Factions) from start and a lot of people might have done those quests/ or traded commendations for rewards back in the days. It would create an unfair balance between those who horded them and those who spent them for what they were originally implemented. Not very ANet style, is it?

Ministerial commendations would make much more sense in that respect.

However it turns out: Thanks for the effort, good luck and lots of fun!

Most of these quests require you to have completed Nahpui Quarter mission or even having gone further into Factions storyline.

I still understand their point when it comes to 'too easy'. I have like a stack of each and that's just because I got attached to them. I only use them when I'm in the area and either need booze or a superior kit. Which I usually just buy because I don't play in factions a lot and see no point to travel there just for that.

So it would create an unfair advantage against people who no longer have access to these quests because they completed them all and/or have all slots filled on their account.

Well, that's my POV.

They add 3 new quests with imperial commendations in this WoC update. I think they will add more if this going to happen.

I'm not sure whether you're necessarily wrong about Imperial commendations. I'm just uncertain about the numbers. Because Imp commendations are so simple to get hold of, I would imagine that Anet will make it a number much higher than 15 for the new weapons.

Superior Salvage Kit = 2k = 5 imp comm.
Imperial Weapon = 100k (made up number) = 250 Imp comms

It's possible - after all we have Destroyer Gauntlets / Mask of Mo Zing for stacks of trophies.

EDIT: Nice simple quick guide BTW

I think this was made before the orders came out. But I still think something fishy is up with the imp comms. So I'm betting your horse will do something. I've been wrong many times before but we can hope.

nice guide, worked like a charm. done 6 toons so far have 7 left and this has helped to get them pretty quick. Appreciate people that put up guides like this as my time is very limited with 2 kids pulling at me constantly when I'm trying to play. Thanks
