Default Multiple Clients Behind Router

Has anyone tried or had any success running Guild Wars on two computers behind a router yet?

I want to set my g/f & my computer behind a router on her connection, but I dont want to haul all my crap over to her place if it wont work. Any experiances you had and you can share with me would be appreciated.

Never tried with GW, but I've done many different things with more than one computer behind the same router. My guess is, depending on your set up, you may experience slower loading times, but no more/less lag.

I played the E3 event from behind a rounter, but only on one computer, so that's probably not much help is it?

All MMORPGs i know work in that situation because noone wants to lose customers. Noone said that it doesn't work during a numerous beta events so it means that it's working. After all, most internet cafes have a multiple clients behind a router so it's a common situation (especially in Korea).

The problem I have had with CS is that two clients cant connect to the same server, but that may just be the HL NetCode. I really need to know if two people have been able to play a mission together from the same internet connection. That make sense?

I played the last BWE behind a router with 3 computers. The only differences you should see is:

A) Your sharing the bandwidth (bandwidth/#of computers)... but for GW this isn't a problem until new areas and you all join the map together anyways.

B) Higher network traffic on the LAN (if you have only 2 computers, no worries here).

Your router has a switch capability built in, so no matter the number of computers.. the outside world will see only one IP. If this is what your worried about, don't be... GW runs off an account basis. I.e. you have to sign in using your email address and password (and only one account can be online at a time).. they don't care where your connecting from.

Edit* - Wait, did you play GW on all 3 of those computers at once?

LOL, I know it must have sounded horrible. No, my girlfriend (Friend's Pass) played on one, I played on my computer, and my best friend (Another Preorderer) played on my laptop.

My brother and I have played every beta event from behind the same router and we've had no problems. I didn't even notice the lag that people complained about last beta.

ive played with a computer and a wireless laptop simultaneously behind a Linksys WRTG54S with no problems. if you do run into problems, you can try forwarding port 6112.

I wasnt sure how the port issue came into play with GW's NetCode (I had some problems with running two CS clients on the same server. It looks like people have had success though.

Me and my son played GW on two computers behind a linksys router using a cable connection and it played fine. No extra configuration necessary and neither of us noticed any additional lag.

I've also had three people playing Guild Wars behind a Linksys router with no problems. I've got a dsl internet connection with two people connected wirelessly (802.1g) while I was wired to the router. I've got six computers on the network. Wonder if I could get them all going on Guild Wars at the same time...
