Default Game Installation

When the actuall game is released, is it simply installed over the beta, or does the beta need to be uninstalled first, or does the beta client even have anything to do with the actuall game?

the clients are the same. the cd will contain resources that will also be automatically downloaded if you need them. if you have broadband and have played a few BWEs, i see no reason to install from the cd.

There is a HUGE reason to install from the CD. Even IF you went everywhere in these Beta Weekends, you've only seen 30% of the game (as the developers told us). That is 70% of the game you haven't downloaded. Unless they plan on streaming content this information (I've got almost 1GB Guild Wars folder so that makes it over 2GB in size) to dial-up users... then yes I'd recommend installing over your Beta from the CD. But I'm sure you won't have to remove the Beta, it'll just detect what files you don't have and install them.. if not, who cares 10-20 minutes of installation compared to 10-20 minutes of download time every new area.
