I heard about a couple of companies awhile ago in a issue of GI and they were being recommended alienware of course, falcon-nw with their fragbox, and maingear with something but I couldnt remember what it was. So I had my eyes set on a fragbox till fragbox 2 came out and jacked up the price past $2k atleast, so then I went to maingear and they are pretty cheap and I'm guessing pretty good to make it in GI.

Good lord Alienware and Falcon-NW are so incredibly overpriced its not even funny. If you've got money coming out your ears, by all means, go with one of them. They sell top notch computers, but you can build an equivellent for so much less.

lol 1.5k you must not know where to shop, a key thing when shopping for a new comp is to look for GOOD mobo/cpu combos, it will save LOTS of cash on the purchase...

the two places i reccomend for shopping are:

www.newegg.com

or

www.tigerdirect.com

only shop at tigerdirect if you feel like going through extensive credit card checks that take a while haha. but overall the quality is great, and newegg = gods of selling awesome stuff for way cheap.

i got my dual channel pc3200 gig of ram from newegg for like 120 dollars and its by mushkin, so you know its quality ram (although i would love corsair XMS series )

Stay away from Tiger Direct - they are notoriously bad.

Newegg, on the other hand, is a very good comapny.
