Today I received the Preorder box as a gift. I popped in the CD, did all it said and created an account. When I tried to enter my preorder key (the one in black) it said "Your account already has access to the rights this key provides. Err=105" Now, firstly, what do I do about this? I have never played nor have I ever installed the game before this, and I created the account not bu 20 minutes ago.

From what I've seen, I would really like to play this game, and WoW is starting to get somewhat boring. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Well, there been other threads about errors similar to this recently. My take on it is this...

Arena.net needs to test the system for inputting the release CD keys and they don't have many opportunities between now and the 28th. So what it seems is happening, as far as I can see, is we are trying to sign on while they are testing the system and getting the results we would get if we use the the beta key at when we are supposed to use the release key, that's all.

No one from Arena.net has told us anything, this is just what I am summizing based on the messages we get when we put our keys in and the timing of it. It helps me at least not think anything is wrong. I am sure if it was there'd be something in tech support at their site or one of the reps would be here to let us know, not to mention the alpha and beta players who admin and contribute to this site.

I am also having this exact same problem. I just bought the pre-order from Best Buy today, along with a friend, and we are both having this issue

I'm searching through the forums but this is the best thread taht I've seen so far that anyone even mentions it.

How can areanet not have this issue under their support end of their website???

Korvin that question kinda answers itself. There is no issue. The game isn't running yet. We are all accessing it prematurely and when we get an error stumped, we shouldn't be. They have stuff to do, things to test and run. We are merely getting the results of those tests. I believe even moreso now that you let me know there is nothing in their support site about it as an "issue."

This is what I have summized from the "error" codes we are getting is all. But at least I am not stressing about it.

Relax, take it easy, enjoy some screen shots and video from the forums here until the 27th comes. However if it doesn't work within a few minutes of when it's supposed to be open for beta early access on the 27th,

then maybe stress out.

I am also getting this error. I bought the preorder box from Best Buy tonight and I'm disappointed to see this happen, but I guess it can be expected

Just to make sure you know (besides Sin).

The game is not released yet to be played. The servers for playing are not on. No one can play. The servers will not be turned on until the 27th. Your welcome to post your error messages; I just want you all to understand that the game is not yet been released to play. The pre-order CD was for playing the game during the beta weekend events and for early access to the game on the 27th. The beta weekend events are over, we are now simply waiting for the 27th to get in and play.

Now, if you all already knew this.. please disregard this post. As I just wanted to make sure you all realize that you cant play until the 27th anyway.

*sigh* Yes I am very well aware that the game is not released in retail fashion yet...I mean why would I be buying a "pre-order" box if I could just buy the actual game? Uh... ok.

Well, I posted this error because I was under the assumption that the beta was going to happen this weekend and if NOT then I was hoping to reserve my name and get my in-game gift thing setup.

I'm not hyperventilating, I'm not stressing, I'm merely posting a question. Sorry to take offense but jesus, just asking a question gets me a talk down like I'm 4.

I was referred to this forum for its maturity and helpful patrons. I’ve obviously stumbled on a few of the black sheep I guess .

I think it would save a lot of people a lot of headache if areanet spent 10 minutes and posted a topic, on their support site, for people just now joining into this whole thing (like me and others).

Dude sorry to have been so quick to have so much information you felt like we were talking down to you. If you click the search button and just search for all the posts with the word "Error" in their title, you'll probably get a better idea why we are making every effort to be as informative as possible. A lot of people come here and ask about an error code by posting a thread.

Arena.net doesn't have a post because it isn't an "issue" since we aren't supposed to be accessing the system right now anyway. You might wanna check their site though and read through their FAQ regarding Pre-order and Beta Weekend Events. I would read through most of it because I believe it covers the dates and info that help us realize this isn't an issue with them.

Again sorry we were so quick to innundate you. Many are stressed and upset and wanting quick response, for many "more is better," so you are the exception. Have a good day and look forward to seeing you in the game after release.

Well I have had the Pre-order package for about a month and a half now. Proir to today, when I tried to log on when there was not a beta weekend event going on the computer would say there was not a beta event weekend. Now, I am getting an error about the registration key. This is different then before and is not business as usual. I can see why people would be confused.

Wait until the 27th to register your key. Everyone seems to be getting that error right now if they try to sign in or register.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I was worried that there was some odd issue considering it gave me a random error code rather then: "Beta-Weekend is finished, please wait until the 27th".

Thank you Sin for your excellent post. I am an IT person and so I was aggrivated by the lack of official info on this error message and am glad that I checked back again to see your post.

Customers will be able to add multiple preorder access keys to a single Guild Wars account after release of the game on April 28th. Please be sure to visit the Guild Wars Knowledge Base at http://support.guildwars.com for information on how to add multiple preorder access keys to your Guild Wars Account.

I'm just amused that people are wondering why they are receiving error messages when the game isn't up yet. If you get error after 3am EDT, then be concerned. Anything that happens before then, just ignore it. I wouldn't be expecting anything until after 3am EDT.
