Play your cards righht and you may be able to run your own teamspeak server.

That is a perfect use for spare parts.

I agree completely, I used my spare parts to create a dedicated server purely for VPN and Teamspeak. Yes, it eats bandwidth, but this is an alternative for those with extra parts and just one shy away from a whole PC.

But I've given parts away too... especially if I have no need. And knowing Drizzt, it's probably already accounted for.

Nope.

If anyone needs. Just let me know. I have more junk floating around then then the average Bear.

Most of those cpu's have mobo's as well.

Lots of dust.......

Hell in my closet I have a Super G.

But that thing cost way too much elec to run so it is now a very large paper weight.

I still have the first matrox card i ever bought with the later added 3d add on pci card. hehe.

My problem is that I have too much now. Adding any more and I could power NJ all by myself. Hehe. What I am really waiting for is the money to get a rack server with 2 terebyte raid array and 8 opterons. That way I can get away from all the desktop pcs in my house and have all the wires nice and clean. I also beleive that it will cost less to run.

That's a lot of stuff! Personally, I love holding on to all the old hardware I have. Sure it's old, but there's something genuine about having it anyway. Mostly just the processors for me though. And damn. 8 Opterons is going to be absolutely awesome.

I wouldn't call that junk!

I have 1GB PC3200, 2-256 PC2700, 1+GB PC133, and about a GB of odds and ends from PC100 to PC2100. As I always do, I am sure there will be occassion for you to use them in your work.

Speaking of Frankincomputer, I just bought an old Dell PIII933 (has a 40GB HD, 512 PC133) with a Super Flat NEC 17" for $75 with appx. 100 hours on it from a bankruptcy sale, and I'm ging to upgrade it with XP home and a 64MB MX400 JUST to see how it handles GW, then I'm going to use it for component testing of potential defectives I replace. I could also use it as a mail server or TS server too.
