Default Major Freezing Issue

So I've only been playing the game for two days and a major freezing problem is coming up for me. In a 2-3 hour session I'll freeze at least once and it's extremely disruptive because it drops whatever quest I'm on or group I'm in, its making me not want to play already. I was deep into a group and about 2/3 of the way thru the mission and the game froze and the sound that was last playing repeats and I'm totally locked up. My machine is very clean, no crappy software running on it. Is this a known issue or am I just unlucky? I don't see many posts on it, so I'm guessing I"m just unlucky. My rig is pretty fast so it shouldn't be any problem on my end...
