My laptop runs Guild Wars like a charm... at work. No problem going through the router there. Once I bring the computer home it's a different story. While Guild Wars is able to auto-update, when I try to login the dreaded Err=5 message comes up.

Plugging directly into the modem lets me play but it's a pain because I have to game on the couch as opposed to my computer desk.

Any ideas? At home I've got a Netgear WGR 614v5 router.

Note that STEAM, of all things, runs just fine through the router. Only Guild Wars gives me problems.

I run the game through a linksys router with no problems--however it is wired not wireless

Did you configure your router properly? This is a common problem with users and wireless routers, especially if they configured their WEP security inproperly.
