Red face Newbie Question about Patches

Sorry, I'm a real newbie in regards to online play and I tried to some searches but I couldn't find anything. My question is this: are patches taken care of automatically (ie when you start the program), or do I have to manually download a client or something for the patches. There's a Guild Wars Client on the main site, what is that for? Sorry for being such a newbie

Client is for people who wants to play without buying the CD. You can download client and pay regular price to play. This is bascially downloading the game instead of installing it. Remeber, there is no monthly fee. I would rather buy the CD since it comes with nice manual book.
I wish I bought the collecter editon because there are more goodies included.

Ok. Patch question. Patch is automatically stream to your system. Sometimes, if you look at top right corner you will see numbers. It means it's beening updated. However, you have to logout and restart the game. This will update your game. Don't worry about updating it right away because it will take care of itself.

hope I answer ur q.
