Default GW freezes

I recently built my computer and Im having problems playing this game. i usally freeze in the first minte in game play. its been freezing more frquently lastly too. I tried fixing it by updating my drivers, bios, and reformating my harddrive. I also switch graphis card with my friend and still the same problem. I have a leadtek 6600gt pci express, k8n msi neo platinum mobo, 1 gb ram, 80gb SATA hard drive. Not sure what the probllem is. My last guess would have to be the motherboard is defective. i also have 4 fans w with a zalman 400watt power supply. im pretty sure its not te power supply and the computer temperature in my room stays around 30 celsius. Any advice. My last chance would have to bring it a to comp tech place. I don't really want to do that since they might not even fix it anfd still charge me a nifty penny.

I experienced the same thing right around the first or second day of playing. I would get my character into the game and it would just stop moving. I have 1 GIG of RAM and 2Gigahertz Processor, etc so I was surprised that I would have this bad performance. But, as things happen, I logged out, turned off the machine, and logged back on the next day and from that point forward I have not had any problems at all. So maybe it was just a server glitch. I can't even remember the last time I had that problem but I know where you are coming from.

I myself have a very similar problem after logging in and playing for about a minute or two my entire computer freezes up and i have no idea whats causing it. At first i thought it could be a virus and i ran all the spybot, adaware, and norton stuff and nothing showed up. After it continued i proceeded to reinstall windows twice with no success. But i too believe i have a cheap motherboard and wouldn't be surprised if theres a faulty component or something in it. But, for some weird reason the game ran fine for about a week so i dunno weirdness.... Just to let u kno ur not alone.
