Default Sound Problems...

Sometimes after I'm playing GW for like 7 hours or more, and I'm also runnin TeamSpeak 2 and chatting on it (I host my own TeamSpeak server on my Linux Box which is sitting right next to my normal PC), the sound all of a sudden just like stops... it's not just for GW, It's for everything, and the only way to fix it, is to restart my computer... it isn't my speakers either, because I use a headset for teamspeak 2, and it stops on there, and through my speakers...
Please help, because games get quite boring w/o sounds

I have a friend that experiences exactly the same symptoms however it happens much more frequently, along the lines of 2 - 3 times per hour.

First i'd say try updating drivers.

You could also try turning down sound acceleration (start -> run - > type dxdiag in the run box, then sound tab)

After that you could start looking at the more unlikely things such as IRQ conflicts.

find the manufacturer of your motherboard
search their site for some audio related drivers and attempt to upgrade/install them

if you have xp, i'd create a system restore point beforehand as well

you may also want to try to defrag your hard drive, and i recommend O&O Defrag, not the crappy one that comes with Windows.
