Unhappy Help - GW not working since update

Hi All,

First of all I just want to say this is a great forum and thank you to all that help.

I need help badly, the weekend is here and now that I have time, I can't play.

Since the newest update that happened last night (Friday, May 13) I am not able to get into GW. It starts downloading and then there is a serious error, I send off the report to ArenaNet. It was working fine up until last night and I haven't made any changes to my PC.

Anyone else having any problems like this.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Roger

Default Same problem here, 3D Initialization Error

I am having the same problems since the patch. I keep getting a 3D initialization error. The link to the support page is useless. It tells me things I already know like, update your drivers (I always have current drivers) and update you directx (I have directX 9.0c). So...what's the deal here?

Well I hope they fix this quick because I want to play. I work all week, staying up late at night to paly, barley waking up in the mornings and now that I can play during the weekend, I can't. I have sent ArenaNet like 20 reports now.

Thumbs up Damm Patch

Ok so I tried a bunch of things. Updated my drivers, there were like a month old, no difference. Cleaned up my registery, no difference. Ran a Repair Install, no difference. Finally I un-installed GW and re-installed it and it works again. Now hopefully I don't have to do this with the net patch.
