Default Love the Game But...

This game it too linear. I mean that in that the space is way too walled off. I don't like it that I can't climb mountains and that obstacles were put up probably to create distance. I don't like all the canyons having to turn around and after you've been somewhere a while the constant respawning of monsters gets to be a bore. Loved the beginning of the game but don't really like all the waste land. Have been trying to get to a greener area but haven't had any luck yet. Actually all I've been trying to do is get out of the place to someplace nicer, not easier just nicer.

Please begin to drop all the barriers and open this game up more, it is a great great game. Great job.

Firstly, this isn't a dig at you, but this doesn't belong in the Technician's Corner forum. Just a quick head's up, that's all, this forum is for technical support.

Secondly, thaumaturge is right, once you progress a little then you'll see prettier places. Even prettier than Ascalon before the searing.

Thanks

I just got the game Friday and am new. Am restarting it with a new character an Elementist and Ranger, love the blend am an animal lover and the cat is cool. Am an artist too and think they could improve the art on the kitty just a bit but this is an awesome game.

I want a cape but can't find the stuff for it and can't get anyone to join my guild.

Think it's Raven's Peak (Rave)

Really want the cape daggumit.

If your still in pre-burning, go into the main city, and walk around holding down either the alt or ctrl button. Look for a guild guy standing up the 2nd flight of stairs to the north east.

To get a cape, its 2 plat. 2000 gold.

For Rangers, there is a cape that is a reward for one of the quests in Pre-Searing or maybe the animal collector that you can give a pet to in the forest (Regent Valley?). I'm not sure, because I was playing and all of a sudden realized, "Hey, I'm wearing a cape!" I do remember thinking that I got gipped when dealing with the animal collector, so maybe that's when the cape appeared.

It's pretty suave, too. Dark brown, goes down to the calves.

Uhh... no, you don't get a cape for any quest or anything.
You only have a cape if you are in a guild...
Are you in a guild? If you are, your cape probably just "appeared" because your guild leader just bought it at that moment. When the leader designs and pays for the cape, every member of the guild gets it.

It's more of a trenchcoat. It's a piece of collector armor.

No, I'm not in a guild. He's right, it does look like a trenchcoat but with short sleeves. Here's a pic attached.

Collector Kaylee gives it to MALE Rangers upon exchange of 5 Crawl necklaces. It's more like a robe, and I do think it is the classiest armor in the game.
