Revert back to my old GForce4 mmx card. Play 5 hours straight today, no crash, no graphic lag. I am suprise such a old card can handle GW graphic, Moreover, I could go with the highest setting with no significant slow down. On the other hand, my eagle brand FX5700le can't even let me stay in game for more then 20 minutes.

Obviously, GW didn't support eagle brand FX5700le, thats what cause the crash. Anyway, they are too ashame to admit that so they give me this silly suggestion of removing my pc case and had house fan blow air directly on it.

I am using a NVidia GeForce FX video card and am having trouble seeing some terrain features.

There is a known issue with NVidia GeForce FX video cards (GPUs) and driver version 61.77 when the user has changed "Image Settings" to "High performance". Some of the problems include missing terrain. The solution is to change your video settings to "High quality". To do this, follow these instructions: On Windows XP:
Open Display Properties control panel
Click Settings tab
Click Advanced button
Click GeForce "Version" tab
Select Performance and Quality Settings in left window
In the Global Driver Settings window select Image Settings
Move the slider to the right to "High quality"
The video cards/GPUs that are affected by this problem are:

GeForce FX 5200
GeForce FX 5200 Ultra
GeForce FX 5500
GeForce FX 5700
GeForce FX 5700 Ultra
GeForce FX 5700LE
GeForce FX 5900

That's the official saying, and I said Eagle Brand Fx5700le. It's a taiwan brand, and I am not suprise US game didn't support it. BTW, Increase image quality is one of the first few step I took to fix my technical issue.

in case you havent realized it yet this is a worldwide release with the same game code in all countries and asia is heavily represented including their equipment

The fan idea is not a silly suggestion, as it has easily identified an overheating problem for many, many users. If you did not try it, well, that was unwise.

If the fan test did not work, I would suggest that your power supply may be insufficient or failing. Stepping back to an older card that requires less current would relieve the strain on the 12v mobo connector.

In the U.S., Eagle Brand is an very old, very well-known brand of condensed milk.

I agree with Svenn on the fan. I do not know about your FX5700LE, but I had a FX5200 for about a day. It had no fan built on the card so I knew it was not a very powerful vid card to begin with. Buying a small high output fan and aiming at your computer "guts" while the case is open is a quick fix. Also, going back to a GeForce 4 card is smart as well. (Some you have to watch out for some of them are really GeForce 2's) However, I have a GeForce 4 4200 128meg that was much faster and sharper then the FX5200. I Firmly believe that Nvidia put the FX line out on the market too soon to compete with ATI at that time. I run that older 4200 in my old P3 and it works fine. A little chunky lag at times..but oh well...that my daughter's problem, I get the fast computer.

Many of the cheapo nVidia cards use crappy heatsinks and fans, so this being a heat issue is not unlikely at all.
