Curse

I just installed guild wars today and when I play it everthing goes okay except that some things like text boxes and stuff start getting all out of shape so I can't read. None of the 3D objects like characters or monters do this but the landscape also sometimes flickers. The thing I'm worried about the most though is the text getting stretched and messed up. I barley have time to read mission discriptions before it gets messed up.

I had a similar thing happen on another game once, and spent months trying to track it down, as it was first intermittent but then grew progressively worse. It ended up being my graphics card going bad...

So I contacted ATI and had it replaced under warranty. I'm not saying for sure that this is your issue as well, but if you get lot of responses and try everything you know of and it still happens or grows worse, especially the flickering, then maybe look to the card itself.

A little more detail on your machine specs, whether you overclock, what card you use etc would be helpfull too. That all helps others who may have had that problem, or know of a solution help you with your query.
