Hi, i am new to this forum, i am seeking for heeeeelp!!!

Since the last update (8th of june) I noticed when I try to exit town or do a missions and cant get pass the connecting screen, after a few minutes I get the Err=7.

Also noticed that I can only travel without problems to my Guild Hall, Ascalon and to Iron Mines of Moladune. And I can only do the Iron Mines mission, without any lags. When I try to travel to other towns or mission I cant connect to them, then the Err=7 message appears.

My connection to Internet is DSL, from my home via Router.

I live in Caracas Venezuela, my ISP is ABA CANTV.

I dont use Firewalls, and the Norton Internet Security is always off or disabled.

But I still cant understand why I am getting this error then, because I havent changed any Internet configuration before, and the game ran well, its been since the last game update that this error appears. And I have been playing like a month now, I have a 20 lvl character.

What can i do?

I have try anything connedting directly to the modem, restarted modems and routers, switches.

If I uninstall the game and reinstall it, can i lose my characters????. I think not, but I want to confirm before I do it.

Support of Guild Wars has not given me any good help.

Well I hope u can give me some advice bye....

personally, not using Firewalls is a risky thing. Is that you don't use Firewalls at all? What about Virus Software? If you don't have that either, I would highly recommend getting your machine checked for Adware, Spyware, Viruses etc, before you attempt to do anything else.

Everyone else here, will probably mention exactly the same thing before even attempting to resolve your issues.

You won't lose your characters if you reinstall the game. However, I would attempt the above things first.

Spybot and Adaware are two very good programs. Also, MS Spyware software is also a very good Spyware detector.

As for Virus software, if you don't have any, Zone Alarm as a full Firewall and Virus software is a very good piece of software and can be downloaded from there website.

Try these first and remember to post your full system spec. Many thanks.

It's a game problem, you don't have to reinstall. ArenaNEt have to correct the problem with the program.

I belive that i throw away my money with this game. This people it's not asuming their responsability.

But if this way, never ever.

Its not as simple as just a problem with The game client people, if it were everyone that ever bought the game wouldn't be able to play the game at all. ITs isolated to certain configurations, which suggest hardware or software conflicts. Stop making post like that and wasting peoples time. You can not expect a fix for anything if the problem can not be isolated and determined. People who make glittering generalities like the user above are of no help at all.

IMHO Norton security products are the worst pos on the market. All of their software sucks down resources like someone hooked on crack. Just try turning off your Norton products entirely.

Have you attempted directly plugging into the modem or forwarding port 6112 through your router?

Yeah, I don't know if lag has gotten really bad since the last update or what. Up until the most recent patch, the game has run perfectly. I'd hit lag maybe once or twice a night, and then only in town for a split second. But the past couple of days it's been terrible. It would freeze and then get going again and I would find my corpse surrounded by a ton of creatures.

I have 3 Megabit cable modem. I don't know if I've just gotten really unlucky with when I've decided to play recently or what, but it's slightly aggravating.

What???????????

Are you telling me that i can't post for a game problem because it is wasting pleoples time?????

So, if the game don't have a problem for you, every body have to make a silence????

What about the money that every peoble that have the problem waste in this game??????

Do you know read?????

It is not a miss configuration, it is a game bug. Occurs only in some escenarys. Only under some particular circunstances. Are you think that we don't know the diference betwen a miss configuration and a game Bug????

Do you think that i don't go to say to every world what's going on with this game?

I'll do. Belive me. Next time somebody go to shop this game, will know that it have a problem that not have solution. Will know that some of us, that we pay SO MUCH AS YOU (if you pay it) can't play the game, because after 12 level, the game kick us when we change the escenary, and the technical support says it is ISP problem. ISP working for Charr? That is the most reasonable explain that they have for customer. Before 8 of this month, our configuration was so good, but they and you tell us that all over the world we have the same miss configuration at the same time.

You say that this is a perfect game and if you don't have a problem, no body have to say anything.

You tell me aeroclown, are you a customer or ArenaNEt employ???

Do you hear some times about customer rights?????

Do you hear some times about to sell something that can't do what suppose it most do???

We don't stop man.

Yup me too, but i want to play in the American Server, cuz the different time zones, when I play teh game here, in Europe is like 1 am. So there would not be a lot of people to play with.

Well ill play some time in Europe till next update and change again to see if the problem is solved.
