As far as the Hard Drive goes, it says in the Spec sheet that a cable is provided. The DVD doesn't say this but you can always use the cable from your old system, which will work fine on most occasions if one doesn't come with it or possibly the one that comes with the hard drive if a standard dual channel IDE cable.

If you are going to transfer over the floppy drive from your old machine, use that cable too.

That should pretty much be it for cables. Everything regarding power should be supplied with the Tower Case. Well, they do when i buy them in the UK.

I saved several degrees CPU idle temp by going to aftermarket coolers and then saved 2 degrees by switching to thermal compound. Thousands of other people have obtained the same results. If it's not worth it to you, fine, but it works.
I can't speak for all Athlon64 stock coolers, but mine is rather quiet and does not rattle. Then again, I have four other fans (three 80mm, one 120mm) running in there, so it would seem quiet by comparison anyway.

What it really comes down to is if he would like to save on the $30. If he isn't planning on doing any overclocking, doesn't mind the colour of the fan, then there's not much point at all in switching it out for an after market cooler. Also, as someone else keeps pointing out, someone with relatively little experience building computers might want the peace of mind that comes with the 3 year warranty, as opposed to the limited warranty of the OEM processor.

If you have a current PC System you can just remove the cable from that system and install that into your new system. It will work just as well and you don't need to buy a new one.
Either that, or just take the Hard Drive cable from your old PC and use that one.

They are called IDE Cables. There are others, which are called SATA which is a new and faster system, and a lot smaller in size, but without looking at your new mobo for details, i would stick to IDE for now. Anyway, your new HDD would need to be SATA or you would have to get a SATA connector/adapter.

Default You need good PSU

MSI mobo's are great, but take my advise and be sure you buy a decent Power Supply. You need at least 18 ampere on the 12 volts line on the PSU, otherwise your system will turn out to be very unstable. (I am saying this based on my own experience :-) )
I bought a Tagan 480W PSU (28ampere on the 12 volts line) which is a very good PSU for a nice price.

No problems with AMD cooler here either ...

Cheers

The 6800 is better because it has a 256bit memory interface as opposed to a 128bit memory interface on the 6600GT.

The 6600GT can be found as low as $150 on that site though, not sure why you're looking at that particular one.

I would recommend for the video card at a cheaper price.

Other than that, I would order it.

I, for one, would question the wisdom in suggesting the Geforce 6200. Just like an LE/SE version, the Geforce 6200 graphics card only has a 64bit memory architecture.

I'd personally skip it altogether and spend an extra $25 a proper 6600, it'd be worth it. And yes I do understand what it's like to live on a budget, I'm on a tiny one myself.
